Opening of eyes

Fallenpaw was a little startled at the kit's answer, never remembering herself being intimidated by all these new cats, rather the opposite, actually, she was enthralled by all the attention.

"Though it's kind of cold right now, don't worry. You'll get used to it, and learn to love it!" she reasurred the kit. "I'm Fallenpaw, apprentice of Nightwing and future leader of ShadowClan!" She mewed proudly, "I hope to get to know you."

"I'm Gingerheart, a warrior of Shadowclan which is where you are at now. Shadpwclan is your home!" She mewed as she scooted herself around to gently wrap her tail around the cold kit. She knew she couldn't do much without scaring the kit but at least her fluffy tail could help some.

Smiling slightly to Gingerheart, Midnightkit rubbed her head against the warriors tail and laid beside it. "Thanks." she told her warmly.

"You're welcome Midnightkit. Are you warm enough now?" She asked, hoping that she was able to help the kit out more than she thought at first. It was always nice to see happy kits. It meant they were healthy and then the clan would grow and then they would be better defended and then they could be happy and then--/shot.

OOC: A NEVERENDING CYCLE lD

Midnightkit nodded, no longer shivering. "Yes, I am. Thanks." she said, a smile playing on her face.

A tiny slightly-offwhite kitten slowly and carefully made his way out of the warm nursery, long, lanky legs making him a bit uncoordinated. His dark blue eyes were open, the beginnings of brown hinting on his tail, ears, paws, and face. He sat in the entrance, staring curiously out at the small group of cats just beyond where he sat. Satisfied he had studied them enough, his eyes darted around the clearing, taking in the sights and sounds and smells that he had been kept in the dark about for many sunrises, trying to take in as much as his small mind could hold.

Gingerheart, upon hearing the small steps of yet another cat, glanced back to see the young kit pad out of the nursery for the first time. His curious stare and what seemed to be nervousness of the new world amused her as she smiled down at him. He was so tiny! Of course, her sheer size could have been a factor as to how small he looked. "Hello there! And what is your name?" She asked Spiderkit calmly. At least with this other kit, Midnightkit would have someone to play with and grow up with. Seeing the both of them just made her think about her own time as a kit and a young apprentice. It was so much fun to think about the great times she had with no responsibility. But now, she was a proud warrior that was going to protect her clan at all costs, that meant she was going to watch over these kits and keep them from danger as well.

Midnightkit peered from behind Gingerhearts tail at the new arrival, remembering him from the nursery. Sadly, she could not remember his name, nor remember a time she had talked to him; he had just been there. What she did know though, was that Gingerhearts tail was warm, so she curled back into it, pawing slightly at the pieces of fur that stuck to her nose.

Fallenpaw glanced behind her, spotting another tiny figure trotting out of the nursery with a faltering step. The light gray she-cat looked between the two kits, her soft green eyes lingering on them. They were roughly about the same age, she guessed, and would grow up together. The majority of her own time in the nursery was spent alone, until Silverkit - Silverpaw now - had come to join her the remaining moons. It was not the most comforting feeling, sleeping in a den by yourself, with only your own fur and nest to keep you warm, especially in this chill. The sunrises she spent in the rocky crevice that was the apprentice den only refreshed her memory. Though she would move on past Silverpaw - meaning becoming a warrior first, she thought smugly - it was nice to have another cat to play with.

"Hello to you too!" she mewed towards the newcomer.

Spiderkit's gaze darted back to the other cats as they spoke to him. He looked rather timid, seeming to shiver and shrink under their attention. He made no move to speak, showing slight fear as his eyes darted between the the others.

"Don't worry, little kit," Gingerheart purred reassuringly. She wasn't going to let this little newcomer be cold either, especially when he looked just as confused as Midnightkit did. "Welcome to Shadowclan, your new home!"

"Hi Spiderkit!" Midnightkit squeaked, her voice muffled due to the blockage of Gingerhearts tail.
