Reach Out and Touch Faith

Listening to all what Stormstar had to say. The she-cat's stomach was twisted in knots. Her ears twitched back and forth as he spoke. She was very happy at what her leader had to say the tom would be an apprentice for now, but that was okay he would still be able to stay. Her ears honed in on what the leader moved closer to Falconfang to say. If cats could blush Minteyes would have been red. She looked into space as she listened to what the leader was saying.

Raccoonheart tackled Stormstar Raccoonheart got up from where she was sitting and went over to Stormstar, "Hello my love" She purred happily greeting her mate. She turned to the fresh-kill pile before taking a rabbit, she didn't eat before she went on the dawn patrol. "Would you like to share?" She asked through the rabbit fur.

Falconfang listened to every word Stormstar said, forcing himself to blink open his eyes and face his leader. His tone was at times forgiving, at times angry enough to scare the young warrior, but the one thing that went through his mind was that he would not be banished. Oh thank Starclan! Even with the continued punishment of having to have a warrior with him at all times and caring for the elders that totally exist and aren't figments of Stormstar's imagination he was thankful, for he felt he could accept any punishment his leader would give to him as long as he could stay with Windclan. However, what Stormstar said next Falconfang did not expect: he was not particularly subtle in attempting to get Falconfang to become mates with Minteyes! His fur grew as hot as it could with embarrassment: he had never even thought of Minteyes that way! Well... He gave a guilty glance at Minteyes. Maybe that wasn't exactly true, but regardless of any feelings the warrior may have had or may still have, it'd take quite a lot of work to regain the she-cat's trust... he would have to do it though. That he was sure of.

"Thank you Stormstar," he mewed as the leader finally finished speaking. "I promise you, I will not betray this clan again." And with that, Stormstar walked to the fresh kill pile, leaving Falconfang alone... well, with Minteyes pretty close by. Maybe he should return to the warrior's den... but that wouldn't do now, would it? Not with what had been said. "Uh, Minteyes," he mewed, turning to walk towards her: it was fairly obvious now how relieved yet embarrassed he was. "C-can I talk to you?"

Stormstar raised an eyebrow at his mate, but nodded. He sat down next to her, and took a small bite. As he chewed it, he thought about his choice. He sighed as he gazed back at Falconfang and Minteyes. "Do you think I made the right choice in making him do the duties of an apprentice? I do fear for what Froststar will do to the RiverClan she-cat, and that the other Clans might see our Clan weak for me picking such a choice..." he drifted off, turning his gaze to his mate. "The Clan is weak enough as it is, exiling Falconfang would of done nothing to help us, other then weaken us farther, but will the other Clans see that my choice was for the greater good for us? Dark winds are on the horizon of the moor, my love, and I fear that we will need all the cats we care get to fight it and survive." He raised an eyebrow as he returned his gaze to the two warriors. "And we are going to need all the kits we can get. I know that they love each other, deep down. Perhapes I have just made things awkward for them...but hey, I like to believe that is my job."

Raccoonheart gave a sigh, "The clans always try to take advantage of us." She took a bite, then soon continued after she was done with the bite, "Froststar is a good leader, but lacks in realizing she may need all the warriors she can get. Also it doesn't matter what the other clans think, it only matters what your clan thinks. Clearly they don't object to that." She mewed flicking her ears to Minteyes, and Falcongang.

With Stormstar having left the mood was still awkward Minteyes turned back to Falconfang. Her ears twitched as the tom indicated he needed to talk again, her ideas were all jumbled as to what he might need to talk to her about. "Sure."

The camp now felt suffocating, and Falconfang felt as if his tongue was tied. For a moment he was either silent or muttering nothing, then finally he asked, "D-do... do you think we can talk outside of camp? Stormstar said I could leave with a warrior escort, and... and I really need to talk to you." Even the air felt awkward around those two.

OoC: That's okay, right Badge? Since she IS a warrior.

Nodding the she-cat stood and balanced out her weight on all four paws. Following Falconfang all she wanted to do at this point was listen.

Once outside the camp, Falconfang turned to Minteyes but once again found himself tongue-tied. Instead he laughed, a nervous, high-pitched laugh, until he was finally able to calm his nerves and speak. "Minteyes, I... I am sorry, I really am. I made a mistake, and I know I have to be punished for it... I... I want to do anything I can to make it up to the clan, and to you." He shifted awkwardly on his paws, wanting to move closer to her, but fearing she would recoil from him. Yup, Stormstar sure had made this extremely awkward.

"I don't expect you to trust me now, or forgive me... but I want to fix what I've done in any way I can. I know that... that it's, uh... awkward, right now." Another nervous laugh. "But I don't expect anything... a-anything like that. So, uh... yeahhh," he let his mew trail off into an awkward silence, letting his gaze look around the clear sky. It was still beautiful this leafbare, despite all that had happened.

The she-cat followed Falcomfang and then turned to him and sat. Listening to him talk Minteyes nodded. She understood that he was sorry, "Trust." The one word rolled off her tongue. "That's what being in a clan is all about, we trust you and you trust us. To give you a family and we trust you to do your duties and follow the warrior code." The she-cat had began pacing back and forth. She stopped and looked at the tom, "Do you understand?" giving what he said another thought Minteyes sat again. "Time, that's what it will take."

Falconfang nodded, looking up at the she-cat. "Yes, I understand," he mewed softly, letting his tail thump softly on the ground. "And I promise that I will not stop trying to prove that I am a warrior that Windclan can be proud of."

OoC: 11 days... how in the world did I not see this?

The she-cat was still herself trying to wrap her head around what had happened over the past few moons. "I suppose we should get back to camp." Minteyes pointed back towards the camp with her tail as she stood and took a few steps.

"Yeah," Falconfang mewed quietly, following her lead and heading towards camp. He gave her a quick look as they walked back, his tail drooping between his legs.
