Nightwing Hunting

Nightwing had talked with a WindClan cat, surprisingly enough, She had cheered up Nightwing.Being gone from camp awhile, she had caught some food to make up for it. So far she had caught a frog and a few rats. The warrior was near the mice den she found as a apprentice. Nightwing crouched out side of the hole, she had made sure to stay away until she knew she was down wind. The black warrior heard mice squeak. By the sounds of it there where five mice! Sounds like they where getting ready for leafbare. Nightwing shoved her fore paws in the hole and hoped to snatch some. Nightwing snatched two, She quickly ended their lives with a snap of her jaws.

"Nightwing." Sagestar stood at the edge of the clearing, trying to catch the she-cat's attention. He wanted to talk a bit with her.

Nightwing's head went up. She noticed her old mentor.The warrior smiled shyly and placed the mice down by her pile near a patch of muddy grass."Yes Sagestar?" She mewed. Her heart raced. Was he going to yell at her from being away from camp? Or was he going to praise her for catching all the prey? Nightwing did not know.

He paid none to either, really... Well, not entirely true. He nodded his head pleased when he saw her catch, a passive message of his approval and praise, but that's not why he was here. "I was wondering if everything was alright with you. You and the other two -" His voice trailed off. Even a kit could figure out where this was going, "Is everything alright between you three?"

Nightwing hesitated. She looked away, her ears folded back and narrowed her eyes. "No." She mewed flatly. Just as she had thought she was over it, the involvement of her leader made it flood back to her. The pain. The denial. Her tail dropped low. I hope he isn't mad...

Sagestar didn't say anything for a few moments, finding a rare, dry patch of ground to sit on and wrapping his tails around his paws. Actually, he didn't seem all to angry at all, just merely concerned. For several reasons, of course. One of them being that leaf-bare was coming and conflicts within the clan were the last thing they needed. There was another reason, though, that he was simply just concerned for Nightwing's well being. She was his favorite apprentice, after all. /shot.
The leader nodded his head. He wasn't going to push the subject if she didn't want to talk about it, and honestly - he wasn't exactly the best therapist, so he made an offer instead. "Is there anything I can do to help?" He meowed.

Nightwing took a spot near her catches, the warm smell floating off of them told her, that they where still good. When Sagestar asked her, she shook her head. "Nothing you can do in the war of love, Sagestar." She mewed. Nightwing's eyes watched the mice that hadn't been caught run around the dead tree. She wasn't going to try to catch them in a while so they can reproduce.

Sagestar nodded his head slowly, as if thinking that that was a very fair point. "I hate to see my clan being split up in the slightest, though." He meowed, staying quiet for a few minutes. "Love is kind of a painful thing, isn't it?" He mused, quiet, as if lost in her own thoughts before shaking his head. "I just don't want you losing yourself, is all."

Nightwing looked at Sagestar in an amused way. "You honestly think I would get lost in my feelings?" Her whiskers twitched. "I was in shock, that's all." She added. Glancing at the pile. She asked Sagestar. "Could you help me carry these?" She asked picking up half between her jaws, and between her chin and chest. She looked awkward with the prey. At least, that is how she felt.

"Well, you have been missing for a little while." Sagestar shrugged. Maybe he was just over-thinking all of this. The thoughts were lost as he saw her pick up the prey, an amused purr rising. "Of course." He meowed, getting the rest.
