Kestrelpaw stared at all the herbs, mouth agape. "Silentfeather, can you teach me these?"

"Alright, do you know what poppy seeds do?" Silentfeather replied, remembering the time she first asked the apprentice if she knew the seed.

"Yes, it helps soothe pain, and kind of makes you sleepy, right?" she said, grinning proudly.

"Yep. What about marigold?" she asked, naming basic herbs only.

"Stomach ache...?" she asked slowly, unsure.

"Actually it stops infection, bleeding and is usually used as inflammation for stiff joints." she replied. "Now, wait herb is this again?" she asked, testing the apprentice.

"Marigold!" she chided, soaking in all of the information.

"Alright. Here's something easier: what about cobwebs and catmint?" she asked, starting to sort herbs.

"Cobwebs, for dessing wounds. Catmint: Green cough." she answered, watching her mentor carefuly.

"Right, but catmint can also be used for whitecough." she replied, though proud of her apprentice already.

"Ok!" she said, internally storing the information internally in her brain.

"Alright, can you tell me what you know so far?" Silentfeather asked.

” Poppy seeds for pain, marigold for infections, bleeding, and stiff joints. Catmint for green and white cough, and cobwebs for injuries!” She said, pacing anxiously.

"Alright, that's great. Now, what does celadine do?" she asked, wondering how long the kit can hold herself before becoming exhausted with information, which is exactly what Silentfeather plans to do why she'll give her a break when she asks for it.

Kestrelpaw blew out a sigh of air, mind buzzing. ” I don't know.”
