Feathersong saw Gingerpaw miss. Darn...

Grumbling as she simply decided to move on, her miss had begun to make her nervous. What if that was going to cause her to fail? No, she couldn't let that happen. Suddenly dashing away, she ran through the territory until she found yet another trail, this time of a lizard that was walking around. Determined to catch this one, she made sure she had everything perfect again. It seemed to work last time. As soon as she felt ready, she pounced, but the lizard was too quick. It spotted her as soon as she leaped, darting away before she could even land back on the ground. Letting out a growl of frustration, she took off after it.

ooc: this post is to simply show that she tried again rather quickly. I am intentionally double posting to speed this up a bit and to simply show her impatience cx

As she fought to catch up to the lizard, she found herself running faster than she normally could. Taking pride in this fact, she caught up with her prey rather quickly and jumped on it before it could escape. Giving it a furious bite, she killed it instantly and buried it quickly. Sticking her tail in the air to show off her accomplishment. Nothing could escape her. With that, she continued on to hunt for one last kill.

Good job, Gingerpaw, Feathersong sighed.

After quite a while, Gingerpaw glanced around to try to find sight of anything she could possibly catch. It had been a long time since she started her assessment, and her feet were starting to ache. "Just one more..." she muttered to herself as she continued on, finally gaining hope when she discovered a trail that led right to another frog. This one was rather small, but hey.. little prey was better than no prey! Preparing herself, she knew she was going to catch this one on the first try. She wasn't going to let herself make another mistake and miss. Preparing her crouch, she sprung, leaping for the frog at full force. As she soared through the air, the frog didn't notice her once until she was suddenly upon it, biting down on the poor little creature to kill it quickly. "YESH!" she cried with her mouth full of frog. "I hih[did] it!"

Feathersong silently came out from a bush, sneaking up behind Gingerpaw without the slightest sound. "Well done!" she purred. "Now, let's bring that prey home."

At the sound of her mentor's voice, Gingerpaw jumped, her fur standing on end as she unsheathed her claws until she finally saw who it was. Giving a small laugh, she smiled at Feathersong with an excited expression. Awesome! So I passed?" She asked, hoping that she did since the deputy was so thrilled.

"Yes, Gingerpaw," Feathersong meowed warmly.
