Night and Cedar's Battle Training

Nightpaw looked at Cedarpaw's paws in hopes on confusing him that she might be aiming for his paws, instead she lashed out at his head then quickly backed away in case he wanted to counter attack her. She moved her gaze to his joins, in case they where giving away his next move.Come on Nightpaw! She scolded her self You can do better then that! Nightpaw frowned and backed up a little bit more.

"Nightpaw, you need to think before you move, and be quicker." Sagestar lightly scolded the she-cat, turning his attention to the other tom. "Cedarpaw, if you see an opening to strike, take no hesitation in taking it. You easily have the greater strength on your side."

Nightpaw nodded, and crouched, waiting for Cedarpaw's move.

The leader suddenly flicked his ears and tail, as if changing his mind suddenly. "On second though, Cedarpaw, sit over there and watch us carefully." Sagestar meowed and got on all four feet. "Nightpaw, attack me when you're ready." The tom spread out and prepared himself. She'd have to think of the same strategy as she would her fellow apprentice, for though Sagestar was smaller compared to average toms, he still had the powerful body and muscles inherient to ShadowClan, and would most likely easily win her over if it came down to a battle of strengths.

Nightpaw nodded and crouched And she aimed for the leader's ears, Her eyes giving away her attacking position. Night paw sprung and she hoped she would land on the leader's head.

Sagestar easily saw the attack coming and ducked out of the say, stepping to the side and raising a paw, he returned the favor and aimed to bat it at Nightpaw's head.

Nightpaw's heart leaped when the leader bounced out of the way, and quick as a fox, a paw slammed into her head. "Hey!" No fair!" She laughed and rolled over. She jumped up shaking the dirty mushiness that got on her fur, and stared the leader in the eyes. "What did I do wrong?" She asked.

The gray tabby smiled softly, "You shouldn't give your opponent the time to read your next move." Sagestar answered, "I had plenty of time to prepare."

Nightpaw launched herself at Sagestar catching him on the shoulders, but tumbling because He is WAY heaver then her. She skidded and landed on her paws, she whipped around, her back arched with a bearing snarl.

It didn't help matters that Sagestar had twisted around as she pounced on him, practically sending her flying off of him. The leader was quickly back on his feet again, though, not going to give Nightpaw the chance to recollect herself and aimed to bat and nip at her head.

Nightpaw squealed and battered the tom's belly with her hindlegs, pushing her self out from under him, She twisted around and if he had followed her, She took a mean swipe at his face. She lost her footing, and stumbled,

Sagestar had tried to duck away, but felt her paw graze against his cheek, backing away further and looking back to see her struggle to get back on her feet. "A little better. The squeal wasn't neccessary, though."

Nightpaw blinked. "Squeal? That was my growl!" She found her paws and crouched her eyes locked on her Mentor. Her tail flicked, as if to say 'Come at me Bro.'.
