Fernpaw's Training(Hunting)

Feathersong padded up to the apprentice den, poking her head in and looking at Fernpaw. "It's time for training," she mewed, walking out and and sitting by the entrance.

Fernpaw staggered to her paws, she lurched forward and greeted her Mentor with a small nod. Still shaking the moss off her orange and white pelt. Her blue eyes leveled Feathersong's. "What are we doing today?" she asked anxiously. I hope we work on my battle techniques. Fernpaw thought to herself.

"Hunting," Feathersong replied with a nod, flicking her tail towards the dwindling fresh-kill pile. "We need some more prey for the Clan."

Fernpaw looked at the fresh-kill pile, it looked smaller than usual, she was eager to learn. "Ok, where are we hunting today?" Fernpaw asked.

IC: Feathersong got up giving her paw a small lick before looking at her apprentice softly. "We're just going deep into the territory. There's usually some pretty good hunting." She turned around and started padding out.

Fernpaw followed her mentor, this would be the first time she had been outside the camp, to go hunting. This is so cool! fernpaw thought to herself. She returned to the real world, and was listening for any slight movements of prey, and was careful not to step on a twig, or a leaf.

Feathersong stopped and turned as they got far into the territory. She looked at her apprentice with a warm smile. "Now, hunting, as you know, is very important to the Clans."
The deputy got down into a skillful hunting crouch, moving forward pawstep after pawstep, not making a noise. "This is a hunting crouch. Try it," she instructed, getting back up.

Fernpaw tried to copy her mentor, she crouched down, low to the ground and kept her hind legs close to her body and her paws close to the ground trying not to make any noise.

Feathersong gave Fernpaw a purr. "Good! Except, keep your tail straight. Prey will hear you coming if you don't!"

Fernpaw nodded, she tried it again, this time keeping her tail straight.

"Great job!" Feathersong meowed, scenting a mouse a fox-length away. She dropped into her hunting crouch and padded silently, pawstep after pawstep. Eventually, she got so close she could pretty much taste it. She pounced on it skillfully, killing it in one bite to the neck. She turned around, the mouse hanging from her jaws. "And that's how it's done. You try."

Fernpaw watched her mentor, she made it look so easy. Fernpaw sniffed the air, and she smelled a mouse near a small bush. She dropped into her hunters crouch she had been practicing, and crept up on the small mouse, she was almost on top of it, when she reached for the mouse, pinning its small body to the soft earth and finished it off with a killing bite.

OOC: I killed the mouse, now what happens? XDDDDDDz

OOC: Psh.. I am so confused...... .__. Was it this confusing when you were new at using it, or is it just me. ._.
