Some things

Raccoonheart walked into camp after returning from the dawn patrol, finding nothing on the borders. She gave a quick look around, and realized not much of the camp was awake yet. She walked over to the fresh-kill pile, and picked up a rabbit to eat. She sat down and started to eat.

The sun was slowly making its way up into the sky. The rays of sun peeked into the nursery. Huddled in her nest, Mintkit woke. She heard pawsteps in the camp and so went to investigate. She stood at the entrance to the nursery. Seeing that it was Raccoonheart she just sat there and was silent.

There was a small snore from the Highrock, the only noise the WindClan leader made as he slept peacefully. For Stormstar, being the new leader of WindClan was demanding work and the mostly dark grey tom took whatever time he had to spare to sleep, even if it meant falling asleep in the middle of the camp, but the large tom loved sleeping in the open. Only bad news was that it had lightly rained, so the leader's thick fur was soaked some-what but the sun-light was quickly drying it.

Raccoonheart looked over to Stormstar to see he was still asleep. "I wish I could do that but I have patrols to tend too." She mumbled to herself as she continued to eat her rabbit. Once she was done she began to groom herself to get rid of the water on her fur from the slight rain.

Wolfkit woke up as Mintkit got out of her nest on the other side of the nursery. She laid in her nest a little longer, trying to fall back asleep, but she was already too awake. Quietly as she could, Wolfkit crept out of her nest and joined Mintkit as the entrance to the nursery. She looked outside the nursery, seeing Raccoonheart and Stormstar were the only ones out. Except Stormstar was asleep, so really only Raccoonheart was out. The young kit turned to her Clanmate and whispered, "Why are you up so early?"

With a slight jump Mintkit turned her hackles raised and maw drawn back into a hiss. She settled once she saw it was Wolfkit. Answering the other kit's question she said, "I honestly don't know." Mintkit watched Raccoonheart mummer to herself and then her gaze drifted to Stormstar on Highrock.

Raccoonheart's ear flicked toward the nursery seeming like she was trying to listen in. She knew she heard a noise coming from there, but she didn't expect the kits to be awake so soon.

The snoring stopped as the large leader woke up, and as his eyes flickered open and spotted Raccoonheart, he quickly got to his paws as he had overslept. Bounding from the Highrock to his deputy, his voice spoke quickly with no sigh of sleepiness, as if the leader had just not been taking a nap. "Hello, Raccoonheart."

Wolfkit shrunk away from the other kit when she looked like she was about to claw Wolfkit's whiskers off. She relaxed when Mintkit relaxed. Obviously the other kit must have been startled. "Well, you woke me up from a really awesome dream, I hope you realize that," the kit mewed, slightly above a whisper now.

Racccoonheart stood up, and dipped her head to her leader. "Greetings Stormstar. How was your nap?" She asked.

Mintkit looked to Wolfkit and shrugged. "Well you are the one who followed me. You could have laid there and tried to go back to sleep, but yet you are here." This early in the morning the young cat wasn't really in the mood for company and wasn't really expecting it. She watched the two older cats sharing-tongues.

Falconkit's jaws gaped in a yawn as he stood up, attempting to shake the sleep from his limbs. The kit slowly got up and walked to the entrance of the nursery and peeked out, spotting the two kits conversing outside. He stood there, his tail slapping the ground nervously, wondering if he should go outside or just run right back to his nest.
