Shiningpaw's Training

Runningfoot pushed herself awake and left the warrior den. She had planned to get some training in with her apprentice. This clan needed more warriors and the more training the better chances WindClan would have. Skipping the breakfast, knowing they would probably find something along the way, Runningfoot sat at the entrance of camp and waited for her apprentice.

Shiningpaw came bounding out of the apprentice's den "ready!" she mewed

"Good", with a flick of her tail, the deputy lead the way to the best hunting and training spot she knew. The grass was tall and the space was quite spacious, which was good in this case. "What would you like to start with? Hunting or Battle?" Runningfoot gave Shiningpaw the choice of which one they would start with.

um..hunting!" she exlamed

Nodding, Runningfoot stuck her nose into the air and tried to scent out her favorite prey, rabbit. Catching a small scent of a rabbit. She quickly laid herself to the ground and looked to Shiningpaw to do the same. Her tail was low to the ground and taking small but quick steps she was soon within a couple fox-lengths from the rabbit. Looking back to see if Shiningpaw was with her, she nodded to the younger she-cat.

Shiningpaw followed her mentor's foot steps and crouched beside her.

"On three, you go right and I'll go left. 1....2....3!" Runningfoot called out. The rabbit was unaware still that the cats were planning to attack him. Moving quickly with long bounds Runningfoot was at the rabbit's back in a matter of seconds. She hoped that Shiningpaw was right behind her.

Shiningpaw bounded after Runningfoot bounding quickly behind.

Runningfoot jumped with her claws unsheathed and ready for the fluffy flesh of the rabbit. Runningfoot's mouth was now wrapped around the neck of the rabbit.

"good job!" shiningpaw mewed excitedly

"Alright, your turn" Runningfoot looked at Shiningpaw with a smirk across her muzzle. "I will be here if you need help, but I want to see what you can do."

she nodded and tasted the air is that...mouse? she thought I haven't had mouse before...she stalked the mouse and one she was a tail langth away she leaped on it biteing it's tiny neck.

Runningfoot laid down watching her apprentice. She lifted her nose to see if she could scent out what Shiningpaw was stalking. A mouse, she nodded approving of what she was tracking.

Ic: shiningpaw picked up the mouse and ran back to Runningfoot. "I got it!"

"Very good, now do you want to hear the positive or negative of the crouching and pouncing, first?" There were many things that she did well but some she could have done better.
