Wisppaw was in the deeper, thicker parts of the forest when he spotted a wood mouse, gnawing at the bottom of a tree. He dropped into a crouch stealthily and gently, carefully, padded forward, keeping his eyes on the mouse. Wisppaw smiled as he delivered a killing blow and picked up his catch, then was startled by his mentor. ______________________________________ Art credit to Grey.

| Wisppaw smiled with pride. "Thanks, Firestorm. I'll hunt some more." he stalked off deeper into the woods and soon found a bird, pecking at the ground. I hope I get it! he thought excitedly, then dropped once more into the hunters crouch. He leaped, praying to StarClan he'd get it. Wisppaw hissed angrily as the bird fluttered away, eyes bulging with fear, heart beats before he landed. "Oof!" he muttered, sitting up and shaking leaves from his pelt. ______________________________________ Art credit to Grey.

| "Yea...." he mewed. He then spotted a squirrel nibbling bark on a low branch. "Perfect..." he whispered. He crouched, preparing his hind legs to propel him into the air to make the jump and get his target. Wisppaw, making the leap swiftly, landed before the squirrel got away and snapped his neck. He jumped down, wincing slightly as he landed on the soft ground, and showed his impressive catch to Firestorm. ______________________________________ Art credit to Grey.
