Silentpaw's Medicine Cat Ceremony

It was getting close to moonhigh, as two cats -a tom and a she-cat- headed for their rocky destination.

"Come on. We're almost there." Pantherclaw whispered, and looked up at the moon. They had time, thankfully.

Silentpaw nodded, her whiskers twiching with happiness. "Of couse!" she purred, "I hope Icewhisker will be there!" she purred, hoping to see her mentor again.

Almost stopping dead in his tracks, Pantherclaw's eyes opened wide. He slowed his pace a bit, only to talk about the old meddie.

"Icewhisker?! I had no idea!" he meowed loudly. What a coincidence eh? Thankfully they still had time to spare.

Silentpaw nodded, looking at Pantherclaw. "Yea, Icewhisker was my mentor. Did you know him, even thought he was WindClan?" she asked, padding next to her uncle.

"Ya I knew him." he answered simply, not wanting to get into things. He continued on without saying a word, more than a little surprised at the idea of Icewhisker teaching his own granddaughter.

Finally they reached Mothermouth. Resting at the side, Pantherclaw let his legs rest while he began waiting for Silentpaw to earn her name and finally give RiverClan another medicine cat.

Silentpaw silently padded into the tunnel which lead to the Moonstone. She padded along for what seemed like eons until she reached the cavern where the shining Moonstone sat. To her surprise, she saw Shadowsong getting her lives. "Hey, congrats, Shadowsong!" She padded up to the Moonstone, and laid down. Placing her nose on the freezing stone and fell into darkness.

Occ: Cue Icewhisker!

The sleek medicine cat that was her mentor sat in the middle of a clear Fourtrees. When his apprentice woke up there, he smiled, knowing that she was finally becoming a full medicine cat.

"Welcome young Silentpaw." he meowed, before many cats started gathering around to watch the ceremony.

Silentpaw dipped her head to Icewhisker, and gazed at the other cats was there, her eyes stopping on a calico she-cat, making Silentpaw think of her mother. Letting out a small sigh, she turned back to Icewhisker, happy to about to get her full name.

Occ: Btw, it's Silentherb. Oh, and Ebz said that she was going to be there. =p

Ebonyroot was indeed watching her kin the crowd, an estatic yet humble look on her face, like a proud boss. insert troll face here.

The large tom smiled again and looked up to the stars, his voice echoing throughout the clearing.
"I, Icewhisker, Former Medicine Cat of WindClan, call upon our warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of the medicine cat, and with your help, she will watch over and serve her clan for many moons." He paused to take a breath, and look down at his grandchild.

"Silentpaw, do you promise to uphold the ways of the medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalries between clan and clan, and to protect all cats equally; even at the cost of your life?" he asked, his face serious yet soft.

Silentpaw gazed up at her mentor, her yellow eyes shining. "I do," she breathed.

"Then by the powers invested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife of StarClan, I give you your true name as a Medicine Cat; from this moment on you will be known as Silentherb. StarClan honors your enthusiasm and precision, and you are welcomed as a full Medicine Cat of RiverClan." Icewhisker meowed, and rested his chin on the new medicine cat's head.

Silentherb smiled as she heard her name being called out, as soon a mist entered the clearing, blurring the StarClan cats from view. She woke up with a start, getting to her paws, she glanced one last look at the Moonstone before bounded up into the tunnel and soon reached Pantherclaw. "Lets go," she meowed quickly as she hurried home, happy that she had her name now.
