A DARKER LIGHT - THE FORUM

~A long time ago, there was a family that ruled the land together, known as the Larks. They were united, but separated within by two different types of mana, dark and light. These magics work the same, but are stronger at some performances than others.

The king had been of the same side for several years, leading to a heated discussion between the highest points of power. They argued over whether it was fair to have a king of light mana for X number of years in a row, and how it should be switched every year. Soon, the whole kingdom heard of it, and battles broke out everywhere. Slowly, the people moved apart. A war ensued, leaving many dead and still not settling the manner. Finally, the current king called a draw.

He stated that there should be two separate families, the Lights and the Darks. Still angry at one another, the people cried out how unfair that would be. Who would rule? The argument still stood. Finally, the king found a solution. He told the people that there would be three families. The Lights, the Darks, and the Royals. The Royals would be the ones from which the overlords would come. They possess both types of magic. In the Light and Dark families, there would be varying degrees of power, and the families would be separate.~

Roleplay as a Dark, Light, or a Normal person, as the endless stalemate continues! This is the new forum by the makers of ATA and HPRP, in which takes a cliche topic and turns it into something awesome! :D

That's kind of deceptive, Jay. Because a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time ago, people would kind of burn you at the stake for using black magic/dark magic. That, humanity's fear of the dark, and Harry Potter have kind of drilled it into our minds that dark is automatically evil. X3

I wouldn't see how it's depressing. Besides all of the gruesome deaths many NPCs will suffer, but that's okay, because they're soulless.

I'm talking about that most people are going to assume that Dark is evil, because it's revolving around dark magic versus light magic, and how society was shaped to fear it. None of you really read it, did you?
