Graypaw's apprentice training

Graypaw sat anxiously on the moors, waiting for Graystream to start his first apprentice session.

OOC: What are we doing for our 1st training session?

OOC: Well, I can either show you how to do a Border Patrol or a Hunting Patrol, it's your choice. :)

IC: Eventually, Graystream arrived at WindClan's camp. He had been working hard lately and was starting to wonder what Mistpelt had been up to in her absence, "Hey, Graypaw." He called to him loudly enough to be heard, in a couple of seconds, he was right next to the young Apprentice. "Are you ready for your first training session?" He asked him, his tail moved from side to side.

'Yes!' Graypaw mewed. 'Can we go on a hunting patrol?' he asked, fur bristling in excitement.

"Of course." He meowed back to him happily. He began to make his way outside of WindClan's camp, "Come on, you can choose where we hunt." He said happily as the two cats left the camp.

Graypaw gave his chest a few licks. 'What about going to the Gorge?'

OOC: Sorry I was logged on to my friend's account.

OOC: It's fine.

IC: "That sounds fine to me." He replied back to him. The two of them made their way slowly to the Gorge, making sure to carefully look for the scent of prey. Eventually, Graystream flicked his tail for Graypaw to stop. He tilted his head in the direction of a small rabbit eating happily in the remains of a few large strands of grass. "Go for it." His meow was soft as he didn't want the rabbit to ditect that the two of them were here until Graypaw was ready for the hunt.

Graypaw crouched down, and angled his body until his nose was pointing directly at the rabbit. He darted forward, pounced and dispatched the rabbit with one bite to the neck.

"Very good." He called to him approvingly. He approached the young Apprentice and examined the deceased rabbit, one clean cut finished it off. He gave an inquiring glance before finishing his thought, "Let's continue." He meowed to him. The two of them continued on until they reached a small open clearing with several areas for prey to be hiding, "Take your pick." He said mildly. He scented around and he could smell a total of three pieces of prey. Let's see how he plans this out... He looked at one in the open, one behind a bush, and one near a ledge.

Graypaw tasted the air. Scenting a mouse, he stalked toward a ledge. Then, he pounced and caught a mouse that was trying to hide in the tree roots. Covering the prey with earth, he darted towards a plump vole and bit through its neck. Finally, he darted toward a clump of grass and got a rabbit.

"Excellent job!" He called to him. He examined all of the pieces of prey that Graypaw had caught, "WindClan should have more then enough to eat tonight." He meowed happily with pride.
