"Well, to make a long story short, we all live together and help each other through thick and thin, the black she-cat explained.

"That sounds boring." the tiny thingymicbob declared.

"Truly, All of that sounds boring to how I live. Besides, I can't hunt or fight yet!"

"Like I said, it doesn't matter. Plus, you could learn, but that's your choice," she yawned.

"Have you seen Stripedspine?" the kit asked her.

"Who? Um, no. Is he your father?"

Gracekit nodded. "He sad he would..would come get me when the fires stopped but."

Scarletpaw tilted her head. "Fires?" she echoed.

"Daddy said that the red stuff was fire, and when it went away he would come get me."

Gracekit meowed. What if he had lied?

Scarletpaw glanced around. "What fires? I see none. What does your father look like?"

"In Skyclan camp. Daddy has alot of colorful stripes. And his eyes are blind. Oh, and he always looks mad!" the tabby mewed.

Scarletpaw nodded. "So your father's a SkyClan cat? Alright. I'll keep a look out for him, I guess.." she meowed. "What message should I deliver?"

Dispare's face darkened at the mention of this cat he so dispised. His claws unsheathed and he leapt at th kit and bared his teeth at her,"how dare you mention that cat!" he snarled fiercely his fur bristling

Scarletpaw's fur rose. She stepped in front of the kit. "What's your problem? It's a kit! She can speak however she wants!" she snapped, padding up to his face, her fangs gleaming in a snarl.
