Moonpaw flattened her ears, eyes sharp. "I don't know, okay? For all I know, you've murdered Nightecho and Rosejade! Envyshadow saved me!"

"I never murdered Nightecho, I don't know her." he replied. "And Rosejade, she told me to. I didn't want her to do something like jump of the gorge!"

Moonpaw's eyes were deep pools of confusion. "I...I...I...." She stuttered. Who to believe? Who to trust? The pale she-cat shook her head and resumed her race back into the forest, never looking back.

"Moonpaw!" Stripedspine wailed.

This time Moonpaw kept running, blind with tears. She didn't understand. Oh, how confusing life was now! And it was all Envy- no, this was all Stripedspine's fault.
