There ARE no stable dens outside of the clans. That's been proven, such as how WindClan cats were starving outside of their home with no where to go...
not only windclan, but brokenstar's rogues too; either way, both groups Firestar had noted that they had been reduced to eating crow-food.
And the abandoned barn is just that.. abandoned. so there's no prey there either.

That's because the barn was cared for by twolegs, so of course there is prey. However... no twolegs = no prey = no cats. And if you live in a barn, you're more of a loner or a kittypet than a rogue anyways.
