Fireflash grinned evilly, and followed closely behind Hazelnut.

Cherryfern sighed, tears in her eyes, and ran up to walk beside Bluestar and Foxpaw. "How could we lose so much in such a short time?" she asked her former leader quietly, thinking of Twilightkit.

"I do not know," Bluestar replied sadly. "All I know is that they will fail, and we will eventually make it back." She shook her head. "Come on, we must reach the others."

OOC: What happens if a leader loses a life at this point?

Rainpaw stumbled forward, only to topple over into a heap on the ground. His body was assimilated in blood; although not all of it was his. The potent odor of death still lingered in the air, and was making him feel lightheaded and ill. "How can this happen?" he cried to no one in particular, voice cracking. "How will I ever be able to reach my father now? How will any of us reach anyone?"

Cherryfern looked at the little apprentice. "It's okay." she said, not feeling very convincing at all. "It will all turn out right, just wait and see. We'll crush those Dark Forest cats, and we'll take back our territory. Just wait and see, Rainpaw." she mewed, wanting to rip out Fireflash's throat, and show that mangy flea pelt who was boss. She'd show her. She'd show them all.
