The small kit.

The trees seemed to whisper around a small gray tabby tom as he padded pasted them. His yellow eyes darted back and forth as he scanned the ground for prey. He was skinny from not eatting for the last few sunrises, and mud covered his pelt. His was to focused on getting prey, and moving forward, he hadn't noticed that he was in new terriory, SkyClan's terriory.

Stonestar was walking on the edge of Clan territory with a small patrol behind him, pausing when he scenting something strange.

Snakebite had been with stonestar when he saw a small animal rusling through the bushes. The tom crouched into postiotion and he was about to jump when he saw it wasn't prey.

The small kit stopped and looked around, his eyes wide with fear when he noticed that he was in the wild cats' territory. He had heard of them from stories his mother used to tell him; about how they ate live rabbits and sharpen their claws on bones. He looked around, not sure which way to go.

"Is that a kit?" Stonestar looked surprised and asked Snakebite

Snakefire gave a surpised laugh,"Yes it is".

The small kit stopped looking around. He could hear the other cats talking. He beared his teeth, letting out a hiss. "Come out and face me!" He yowling into the trees, trying to act brave, even thought he was shaking on the inside with fear.

The tom took small pawsteps towards the kit,"were not gonna hurt you if that's what you think",the tom laughed.

"He's a brave little furball huh?" Stonestar laughed "Do you have a name?"

The small kit took a step back as the cats came out of the bushes, but still put on a brave face. "Yea, it's Hail." He growled, his muddy tail flicking back and forth. He could feel his belly rumbled with hunger. He thought about this, maybe these cats could give him food?

Snakebite could hear the kit and he smiled. He padded away to get a mouse he had caught earlier. He picked it up and brought it to him,"here",he meowed,"still fresh".

"Hello Hail." he said "I am Stonestar and this is Snakebite. We're from Skyclan...."

Hail blinked at the mouse, and took a small bite, and looked up at Stonestar and Snakebite. "Stonestar and Snakebite...never heard of names like them. And what is SkyClan?" he took another bite of mouse, happy that he had fresh kill now.

"We are a bunch of cats who live together" Stonestar answered "We have warriors who fight and hunt got the clan. Elders who like to rest and tell stories. Queens who take care of the kits and a medicine cat to make sure no cat is ever sick. We hunt and fight in the trees and that is how we got our name, SkyClan"

Hail looked up, his eyes bright. "Really, sounds like a cool place. I always heard that you wild cats ate live rabbits and sharpen your claws on bones, but you guys seem pretty nice." The four moon old kit's ears when down as he went on. "My mom used to tell me all about the wild cats...but I don't know if she ever even saw one."
