| Hail looked at his paws, "I-I don't know." he whispered, his voice shaking. "She and my father went hunting about two sunrises ago...b-but they never returned." He looked up at Stonestar, his yellow eyes filled with tears. "I waited, and waited, but they never returned...." Hail looked at the mouse at his paws, and took a bite of it, to upset to go on.

| Hail looked up at Stonestar, his eyes shining. "Re-really? Yo-you would do that?" He jumped to his paws, his tail flicking back and forth. "That would be great! I can help the clan when I am staying there!"

| Hail looked at the black she-cat as she came out of the bushes. "Oh, my name is Hail." He sniffed the air, the she-cat kinda smelled like Stonestar and Snakebite. "Are you also a SkyClan cat?" He asked, tilting his head to one side.
