Rosepaw's MC Ceremony

Hawkpath poked her head into the Medicine Cat den. "Rosepaw. It's time." She mewed.

Rosepaw jumped up. "REALLY?" she asked.

"Let's hurry, Rosepaw... The moon is rising quickly." Ebonyroot called into the den and silently padded out of camp.

Rosepaw followed Ebonyroot. "This is going to be amazing!"

Ebonyroot simply purred and headed to high-stones, not saying until they reached the mother-mouth. "Say nothing until the moon hits the stone..." she warned and headed inside, feeling her pelt brush against the walls.

Rosepaw nodded to Ebonyroot, indicating she udnerstood.

Assuming Rosepaw followed Ebonyroot, she sat down and flicked her tail to the RiverClan she-cat, indicating her to sit beside her. The moon finally leaked through a wide space in the cave ceiling, hitting the Moonstone and spilling a glorious white light all over the cavern. She looked to the stone. "I, Ebonyroot, Medicine Cat of ShadowClan, in the place of the unwell Hawkpath of RiverClan, call upon our warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of the medicine cat, and with your help, she will serve her clan for many moons." The she-cat looked down at the small apprentice. "Rosepaw, do you promise to uphold the ways of the medicine cat, to stand apart from the rivalries between clan and clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"

"Yes, I do," Rosepaw meowed.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your true name as a medicine cat." Ebonyroot's voice echoed off the cave walls. "Rosepaw, from this moment on you will be known as Rosejade. StarClan honors your patience and determination, and you are welcomed as a full medicine cat of RiverClan."

I'm a full medicine cat now, Rosejade thought.
