Bringing Hazelnut's Body

Sootpaw padded into camp with Hazelnut's body. Sootpaw's fur was soaked with rain water, but payed no attention to the storm brewing. She placed the body at the center of camp, then walked with her head down to Stonestar's den. "Stonestar?" She asked sadly into the den.

Dustpaw padded out of the apprentice's den, hearing Sootpaw's voice. When she saw the body she let out a terrible yowl. "What happened!"

Snakepaw padded out the apprentice's den with a smile on his face, but it shattered as he saw Hazelnut. He saw that the cat wasn't moving and his eyes grew wide with shock. His mentor and the closet thing he had to a mother was gone,dead. He ran towards her body and buried his face in her damp fur.

ic-Hazelnut's soul appeared were only Snakepaw could see her."I know Stonestar will train you well,I'm sorry."she whispered licking his head.

Envykit poked his head out of the nursery. He saw Hazelnuts body, dead. He was sad, yes, but also relived. "Should I be sad, or happy?" he asked himself, walking over to his brother. "Guess its just you and me, brother." he said, nuzzling him. "Do you think mothers alive?"

Sootpaw was still standing in front of Stonestar's den, she glanced back and saw Snakepaw, Dustpaw, and Envykit.

"Sootpaw ?" Stonestar walked out of his den and froze when he saw Hazelnut "What happened ?!" He demanded and walked over to his mate digging his nose in her fur. She was cold

Something about how sad Stonestars voice was made Envykit grin. He stopped to make sure no one saw, then dug his face into Snakepaw.

ooc-Hazelnut jack-slapped the grin of Envykit.

ic-Hazelnut watched with horror at the kit.All else she could say was,"Beware of the Envy at your heels."

Something about Envykit's mood made snakepaw feel uneasy. He looked up at the figure of Hazelnut and sighed,Perhaps this is all a dream. But when the warrior spoke he was sure it wasn't.Beware of the envy at your heels,he shook with a bit of fear.

Sootpaw walked over to Hazelnut's body and sat next to Stonestar. "I was hunting and see came up and helped me with catching a mouse. Then thinks took a turn for the worse. A fox came and attacked her, while it was distracted with her, I jumped onto and bit the back of it's next and it ran off yelping. She was still alive when I was trying to bring her back to camp, but died on the way." She mewed and walked over to Snakepaw and dug her face into his fur.

He nuzzled sootpaw and sighed,"I can't belive she's gone".

"This is the second time I have watched a cat die" She mewed through Snakepaw`s fur.

Brightpaw padded out of her den. "poor Snakepaw",she said to herself as she padded towards Sootpaw."Did you get hurt during the fight with the fox"? Brightpaw's yellow eyes shone with worry as she looked at the young apprentice.

She took her face out of Snakepaw`s fur, "No not at all."
