Mountainpaw's Border Patrol

Seasonbreeze sat at the fresh kill pile, and waited for Mountainpaw.

Mountainpaw padded up to Seasonbreeze. "What are we gonna do today?" asked Mountainpaw.

"We're going on a border patrol." Seasonbreeze said.

Seasonbreeze led the way out of the camp.

"Where are the borders, anyways?" meowed Mountainpaw as he followed behind his mentor.

Seasonbreeze led through ShadowClan territory. It wasn't far from camp, the place she was headed. She went at a slow jog, so they quickly made it to the Carrion Place. It had high walls with holes, and smelled awful. "This is the Carrion Place. I guess you could say this is part of our territory." There came a rumble from the other side of the wall and the Twoleg places inside. "That sound was from the Thunderpath. I'll show it to you after this. It's on the other side of this place." Seasonbreeze said. "Ready?"

"Yeah," meowed Mountainpaw after looking around.

"Alright." Seasonbreeze said and started walking in another direction. She lead Mountainpaw along the bushes outlining the side of the Thunderpath. She led him for a short distance to the corner of ShadowClan territory. There the Thunderpaths met. To the right, across one Thunderpath was a rocky area. Rocks shot into the air in all directions. It rose high up and they could see a faint outline of a forest on the horizon. "That over there is the Highstones." Seasonbreeze said. "In the Highstones is the Monthermout. In there, leaders go to get their nine lives. Sometimes they go also to get help from StarClan, medicine cats also go to consult StarClan."

Ahead of them was another Thunderpath, and across from that was forest, a rive, and lots of open land. There was one section where no trees stood, but then in the middle was a small group of large trees. "Over there, is ThunderClan territory." She said, indicating the left side, where most of the forest was. "Over there is WindClan territory." She said, indicating the wind open moors. "Behind them is RiverClan territory. That small group of trees right there," she said pointing, "that is Fourtrees. Where the four Clans meet together in peace to exchange news."

Seasonbreeze walked over near the side of the Thunderpath to the right. She marked the border then came back. "How 'bout you mark that border there?" She suggested, pointing with her tail to a part along the Thunderpath in front of Mountainpaw.

"Okay," Mountainpaw meowed as he padded over and marked the territory.

"Alright." Seasonbreeze said. "Well, I believe that's it. Let's go back to camp."

Mountainpaw padded behind Seasonbreeze. "Do other clans ever come into our territory?" asked Mountainpaw

"Sometimes I guess. They shouldn't, and it's hard to get to many cats over the Thunderpath, but when they do come, it's very rare. If a small group of cats come into our territory, it's because they need help, but since we're known as the meanest Clan, they don"t normally come here first." Seasonbreeze explained.

"Oh, well let's get back to camp," meowed Mountainpaw
