Almost a Pancake

Ebonyroot couldn't help but smile, she should've known better. "Maybe, not hate... I might be mad like a crazed fox for the next moon or so, but not hate..." the ShadowClan cat tried to lighten the mood. Wrong place, wrong time, Eb. She nodded in agreement, but where could they go?
"Anywhere but home..." the calico muttered, starting to cough along with him. As the smog fled into the air, she looked up to the sky guiltily. The full moon and the stars were still pouring their light down on them. She didn't like that, she wanted to hide. "How about the old, abandoned barn?"

"Sure. It's warm, and abandoned, so we'll be safe." he meowed through coughs, and lead the way to the old barn that was past his territory. They would have to steer clear of camp, just in case he got caught.

Ebonyroot coughed and nodded, "Let's hurry," she muttered and followed.
