Living a dream

Hearing she was good at fixing broken bones, snapped Icewhisker out of his "trance". His expression went blank as images of Fallensoul, laying there helplessly as he tried to fix up his shredded back. She should have been there...not me...I should have been on fighting the badger... he thought.

"Uh-uh-uh-" he stuttered, no words coming out of his gaping mouth. His eyes were wide, looking no where, but staring straight at Metalshard too. His mind was lost.

"Sootpelt is dead? She told me it was only a matter of time." She sighing. "She is in Starclan right?"

"Whats wrong, Icewisker?" Metalshard frowned. "Is something the matter?" she looked over at Racoontail. "Indeed she begged me to kill her." she mewed befor turning back to Icewisker.

"She could have saved Fallensoul...she...my sister...could have saved me..." he mumbled, still staring off into space. His mind suddenly came back, his eyes flickering, soon resting on Raccoontail. She would know what he was talking, since she saw his father first paw. She would be confused about how he said she could have saved him though. He remembered the day Raccontail came into his den, wanting to talk about the mist that sad day.

"Fallensoul, I heard he died from Dragonsoul.." she looked down "But how could she have saved him..?"

"A badger killed him. It broke his spine...and shredded his back...you said she can fix broken bones...she may have been able to fix his spine..." he whispered.

She stepped into the conversation "She could not have. He was dead right as his spine broke." She mewed grimly.

"Yes, she told me a spine inguring is incureable." she mewed. "Not even Shinepaw could save him."

"Firepaw hates me because of that." he meowed, going back to his hostile mood. It's because of that badger I'm doomed... he thought.

"Shes just hurt." Metalshard replayed.

She looked down. " I was there when she disappeared and when Fallensoul died."

"When was this anyway, I never heard of it?" Metalshard flicked her ears.

"About a moon ago." She mewed. "It took all my strength to drive that badger away." She growled

"I see." she trailed off.

"Thank you for helping get rid of that badger...I hope it died in a hole..." he added.
