The excitiment of being deputy

Raccoontail ran into the fourtrees. She was so happy. She was now deputy of Windclan. She was hoping that some of her friends would show up, but for now she wanted to practice her tree climbing skills. She climbed slowly but surely up one of the four oaks and made it all the way to the top.

"Raccoontail?" a voice called. Deadfrost hopped past the branch she was sitting atop and leaped into another tree. He sat down and shook himself. "Good to see you!"

"Hey Deadfrost, It is good to see you to. How is Thunderclan?" She asked, sitting down on the branch.

He uttered a light laugh. "We're fine. How is WindClan? Featherstar?" He tipped his ears back. It wasn't much of a secret he loved Featherstar, the former ThunderClan warrior. But he was still wary. "Have you a deputy yet?"

"Windclan is growing. Featherstar is strong and healthy as ever." She held a great pause, "And the Windclan deputy is ...... Me!" She sat with pride.

Deadfrost let his eyes widen, surprised. "Well done!" he exclaimed. He thought of his own, old ambition to be deputy of ThunderClan. Was it still there? He pushed the thought away.

"Thanks." She purred. "Your probably wanting to be deputy to huh?" She asked, starting to lick her paw.

He felt his ears turn hot. "No! I mean, I did, but now I'm not... ah, I guess, a little." He sighed. "I used to dream of being deputy as a kit."

"Everyone wants to be deputy some time in their life, unless your a medicine cat. " She mewed

Deathowl watched her former clanmate, Deputy? Finally.... She thought, She was in the bushes off to the side of Fourtrees.

Metalshard walked up "Greetings Deadfrost, and Racoontail." she dipped her head in respect. "How are you both doing?"

"Oh Hey Metalshard." Raccoontail called from the tree.

Metalshard watched her in the tree "I wish I could climb, but my short legs dont allow me." she cuckled.

"Speak for yourself, Windclan isn't even supposed to climb trees." She mewed.

"That and my legs wheigh makes it a bit hard." she added ajusting her leg, it make a loud "clank" sound that scared off most the the areas birds. She, however was used to it so she didnt twich at the flapping.
