The War that Never Ends (chapter 3)

She licked his muzzle lovingly.

Flame licked her muzzle and back soon fell asleep next to her.

As did she.

Flame woke up early and went to get a squirrel for breakfast.

She padded over as well and started to share the squirel with Flame.

"I'm glad we don't have to worry about Blackthorn anymore and I'm glad you chose me." He took a bite of the prey.

She fell silent and walked away with a piece of prey, saddened that she was no longer allowed to see Blackthorn.

Flame followed her. "You have to forget about him. You chose me and thats that."

She broke out crying. "He was my first mate." she sobbed. "How can i forget him?"

"You can forget him because you have me. Please my love. I can't stand to see you like this."

"Yes, but..." she sobbed, afraid to tell him what she was about to. "Do you want all of my kits?"

He looked at her and licked her muzzle. "Every kit you have ever had is our kits not that scrongy Blackthorn's."

"n.. No, thats not true. We had 2 kits before he was killed, a she-cat and a tom. The she-cat is Nightsong and the tom is Darkdove." she said.

OCC: She doesn't know Blackthorn is dead.

IC: "Those are our kits not yours and Blackthorn's." He said.

OOC: No, you just killed his ghost, 'member?

IC: "No, they are mine and Blackthorns. Look into my eyes and tell me im not lying." she said, gazing at flame, her eyes saying the kits were Blackthorn's.
