Playtime

Bumblekit padded out of the kit's den, glad that no one was there. He found a sunny spot in the clearing and laied his head on his paws, like his father. The small tom started to doze off when he heard a voice that he grew to hate.

"bumblekit! What are you doing out of the nursery?", snakefire yowled.

Hazelpaw padded and pounced on Snakefire "Let him play!"she mewed

Coldkit decided to come out of the nursery while they were concentrating on Bumblekit.

Hazelpaw flicked her ears knowing kits were trouble makers like her.Sneacking over she jumped in front of the small kit.

Nightkit huddled in her mothers belly fur

Lightiningeye looked down at the trembling kit,"why don't you go play with your borthers?"she suggested

Nightkit looked up at her with qivering ice blue eyes,but said nothing

Lightiningeye rolled her eyes and suppressed a sigh,she graped her kit by the scruff and carried her outside,she set her down gently,"now,just look around,this is our camp,your home,"she told Nightkit

Nightkit looked around wide-eyed at all of the dens,it was her first time out of the Nursery,her brothers had been out before her,so,she had never seen this place before,but offten smelled it

"Hey,Nightkit"Hazelpaw mewed standind beside her."Want me too show you around?"

Nightkit looked up at the pler cat,she gave a small nod and meowed,"ok,"in a tiny voice,she padded behind the cat

"Okay"Hazelpaw mewed flicking her tail at a nest."This is the apprentice's den.Right now it belongs to me and Stonepaw".She paded to Skyrock."This is where we satyed to get out of the flood waters and where you will get your apprentice name,Warrior name,And where leaders den is"she mewed flicking her tail to a den under(???) the rock."The fresh-kill pile"Hazelpaw finished"Is over there".She flicked her hazel and white tail towards a pile of food.

Nightkit's eyes brightened and she felt more comfortable with the camp,she bounded over to the cat who had shown her around,"what's you name?"she asked kindly

"Hazelpaw"shee mewed sitting down and grooming her pelt."You know when I mentioned Stonepaw?"she began.Hazelpaw sighed "We're kinda mates I think."Quickly she added"I love him as much as your parents love each other combined.

Nightkit listened intently,I wish I could have a mate...she prayed

As if she could read the kit's thoughts she mewed "You should have one soon."

Snakefire smiled as he saw his she-kit playing with others.

Bumblekit rolled his eyes and meowed to hiself,"The closest thing she'll get to anyone loving her is when the mouse-brain spares a mouse's life".

Snakefire looked at the tom and gave a stern look as the kit just stuck out his tounge.

Coldkit watched the water, he saw a floating drift wood and decided to jump on it, so he did, the only problem was it couldn't support it his weight, so he started to sink, "Ack!"he yelped, and jumped to other floating objects, he finally stopped on an object that can support his weight, which was a log.

Lightiningeye saw Coldkit playing in the water,"get out of there!"she called,she padded over and grasped him by his scruff and dragged him of of the log,"don't you do that again,Coldkit,you could hurt yourself!"she meowed sturnly at him
