The Tree and the Duck [Fail Title xD]

"Another clan," Leopardheart meowed. "We hunt under the trees in the undergrowth."

"Why?" Sunkit asked randomly.

"Um..."Leopardheart said, casting a look at Ebonyroot.

"Ebonyroot was gonna eat me. She said so. But I beat her." Sunkit told Leopardheart.

Leopardheart purred. "You'll be a fine warrior, then."

Sunkit puffed his tiny chest out proudly, glowing from the praise. "Thanks!" he squeaked.

Leopardheart licked one paw and drew it over her ear. "Do you want to be leader when you grow up?"

"I'm not sure he knows what that is." She purred, "He hasn't left the nursery yet."

Sunkit blinked. "I wanna be a lee-durr!" he squeaked. "That'd be fun!"

Leopardeart grinned. "Train well. Serve your clan, and you'll be leader in no time."

"Okay!" Sunkit mewed.

"Don't forget the warrior code." She added, twitching her tail.

Sunkit nodded at her, even though he had no idea what that was.

"That's good then." She purred. "I'll be cheering you on."

"...Thanks..." Sunkit said, suddenly becoming, for once, a little shy. He shuffled his paws and said nothing.
