Icekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Ebonyroot padded into the WindClan camp, she looked for Featherstar. "Hello?" she called out.

Icekit padded out of the nursery to see a strange cat in the middle of camp. He sniffed the air and recognized the scent at once. ShadowClan! Maybe mom wants me and Firekit back...

"Who are you?" he asked, no fear or anger in his voice.

Featherstar swept Icekit back a bit from Ebonyroot and smiled at the visitor. "Right here, Ebonyroot. What can I do you for?" She asked kindly.

"Wait, your Ebonyroot, the ShadowClan medicine cat!" he realized.

"What you do for cats is so cool!" he mewed. I hope someday, I'll be just like her! he thought to himself.

OOC: XD, he has no clue.

Ebonyroot said nothing, but smiled down at the small tom.
"Greetings, Featherstar." she meowed to her and glanced back down at her once again. "Thank you, and you must be Icekit." she purred.

She directed her attention back to the gray she-cat. "I've come here today concerning a dream StarClan sent me about your clan."

Fallensoul listened, completely hidden by heather.

"StarClan sent you a dream? That must be interesting to feel. I hope one day I have a dream like that!" he said enthusiastically.

Ebonyroot's whiskers twitched in amusement. "Oh, you do?" she meowed lightly.

Featherstar stood attentivley. "Perhaps we should go to my den? It is far more private in there." The feeling of eyes on her made the she cat's skin crawl. "Enless it is news for all of the Clan?" She asked.

"I cannot say it is bad news, but a matter that should be heard and attended too at once. I don't think it will do any harm for the clan to hear." Ebonyroot meowed firmly, her expression somewhat serious once again. "Icekit is about the age to become an apprentice, am I right?"

Featherstar loosened her tight muscles and nodded. "He is."

The ShadowClan cat smiled softly. "It is our ancestors wish that Icekit become WindClan's next Medicine Cat." Her eyes flickered to the gray tom. "And with your permission, I wish to take him to the Moonstone tonight for his ceremony."

Icekit smiled hugely at the thought of becoming the next medicine cat.

"I would love that! Messages with StarClan, helping your Clan by keeping them healthy and strong...that's what I want to do!" he mewed, bouncing with excitement.

Featherstar purred at her grandson's excitement. "The I guess that you shall need to fetch the traveling herbs for two, Ebonyroot, because Icekit wishes to travel along with you to Moonstone." She said, her silver fur blowing backwards in the wind.

Ebonyroot couldn't help purr along with her. "I'm afraid he's going to have to prove himself without." she meowed, "Look at the moon. It's rising already."
The ShadowClan cat glanced at the sky. "We must leave at one. Icekit, are you ready?" she looked over at him, a smile on her face.
