Daykit is sick!

"No...Daykit.." Fallenpaw shuddered, and pressed his nose into her cool fur. Her once sweet, happy scent was now laced with the overpowering scent of death. Thw white apprentice's eyes blurred, and he closed them.

Rainstar padded out of her den.
"What's going--?" But her question broke off when she saw the limp body of the kit. She hung her head sadly, coming over and licking Featherfall.
"She'll be okay," she promised.

Featherfall stiffled a cry. She could not cry. "She's with StarClan now." She said, unwrapping her kit from her tail, and running into the nursery, where she pulled the bedding brought it into the clearing. There she patted it around her dead child. "She's only sleeping." Featherfall said.

Fallenpaw stared blankly up at Featherfall. "Yeah. Sleeping in StarClan..."

"Thats not rude at all," He meweed.

Rainstar shook her head sadly. She stepped forward and pressed her nose into the kit's fur.
"May you rest well in Starclan, little one," she mewed softly.

Fallenpaw slumped down. "I'll miss her so much.."

Featherfall smiled at the darkening sky. "Goodbye, Daybreak." She mumbled.
