Daykit is sick!

Daykit sat in the nursery and looked at the cold nest beside her that was suppose to belong to Fallenpaw, and the one a little ways off the was mean't for Shadowpaw. She sighed. A wretched claw like pain scratched at her stomach. But she didn't want to disturb her mother that was sleeping so soundly beside her. So with a muffled mew of pain she crept towards the woods, not wanting to get Wolfpaw's herbs and berries mixed up. He sure would be made if his supplies were messed up when he came back home. She passed the trail she used to creep out of camp adventurously. Daykit passed some heather were she'd found a squirrel, and then the place with the blueberry bushes. She walked on though, until she came to the bush with the pretty, red, berries. "These look okay, but maybe I should give some to mom first." Daykit grabbed a stem of them, careful not to ruin the goodies she planned to share with her friends, and walked back towards camp. She dropped them infront of the apprentice den and ate a few to see what they tasted like. "Ew! These are bitter." She frowned at her self medication choice.

Fallenpaw smiled, a small mouse in his mouth. "Hungry?" he asked.

Shadowpaw watched the two from the apprentice den.

Daykit shook her head. "These berries, they taste weird. I don't feel to good Fallenpaw." She pouted, sitting down on the ground. The usually sunny and cheerful kit was looking grave and gray.

ooc: They match the definition of death berries...

Fallenpaw dropped the mouse. Where's Wolfpaw when you need him.. He gulped, and prodded Featherfall. "Featherfall. Daykit seems to be sick, and we have no medicine cat."

Featherfall shot her head up. "What?" She asked. "Daykit's sick!" She yowled, running to her only daughter. "Darling, what's wrong?!" She asked, pulling her closely with her tail.

Daykit coughed. "I... ate those berries. Stomach... ache." The little bundle of sunshine said, quickly fading.

Featherfall cried out. "What are those?!?" She screamed, looking at the berries.


OOC: They are death berries....

Fallenpaw stared, horror creeping over him like a spider. "Those are d-deathberries..." He shut his eyes and bent over. StarClan! Tell me what to do! Please, StarClan! I don't want her to die!
Yarrow....you need yarrow.
Fallenpaw whipped his head, confused, up to Featherfall. "I'll be back as quick as I can!" He whirled around, and sped out of the camp. He skidded to a halt at an old tree stump.
In front of you...
He looked down, and tore off some leaves from what was apparently a yarrow plant. He raced back into camp, going as fast as his long legs would dare to go. He dropped the leaves at Featherfall's paws. "These....chew them up and feed them to her..." he huffed, and fell over, exhausted.

OOC: Well, there's no other way to save her then :/ And no, StarClan have talked to cats out of dreams.

Featherfall chewed up the leaves into a fine pulp and gave it to Daykit who swallowed the bitter leaves.

"Mothe-" She was cut off. The yarrow came back up, but the death berries did not. "Mother, I'm sleepy." Daykit said, curling up into her mother's warm fluffy tail. Her breathing shallowed.

OOC: Awn, your gonna kill her? D':

IC: Fallenpaw's eyes widened. "No! No your not sleepy. Stay the lively kit you've always been..." He shook his head, eyes clouded. "Sh-she should have been an apprentice first...before...Daykit come on. Stay awake.."

Featherfall nudged her daughter's small body. "Darling, wake up. Please wake up." She cried, but Daykit was falling deeper and deeper into welcoming darkness.

OOC: Before she died D:

And suddenly it was over. Daykit breather in her very last breath, and went still and cold. Her beautiful blue eyes would never open again, and her sunshine coat lost its luster. Daykit left her body, but she was still alive. Alive in StarClan, and when she left, she took her warmth with her. Still Featherfall clutched her as though she was alive.
