Who Needs Gatherings Anyways?

A large dark figure stalked silently deep in skyclan land. The warrior sat down looking out at the moonlit creek before him, he took a deep breath relaxing a bit. This place was very nice, no wonder it was called moonlit creek, the full moon of tonight lit the area up around him in the reflection of the powerful moon above creating a sight to behold. One he much more prefered than being surrounded by politics he didnt understand and the constant curse that just seemed to hover over fourtrees.

He fidgeted a bit unsure for a second if she was coming or not. Minutes later however, any initial nerves of that melted away as he picked up on her familiar scent on the breeze. Glancing over with narrowed eyes until he saw movement he grinned a smirk and stalked towards her. "Glad you could make it" he purred, for once there was not any sarcasim or annoyance in his voice. He really was happy that he got to be with her and ALSO to not be in that miserable gathering. He got the feeling his sister didnt want to be there either but she sort of had to... for now he thought to himself.

The moonlit creek was a beautiful sight, with the moonlight reflecting off the softly murmuring waters, shadows dappling the ground with the faint sway of the tree branches in the wind. There was a slight chill in the air, but it hardly bothered Stoneheart given her thick fur as she walked in silence along the creek's edge.

Pale green eyes found a familiar tabby pelt up ahead. Stormwatcher was here after all. "Wouldn't dream of missing it." Stoneheart replied, "What, you don't think I'd rather be at fourtrees, do you?" She asked, a faint hint of amusement in the warrior's voice. "Why ruin a perfectly nice night?"

Stormwatcher chuckled a bit at her reply and nodded, "my feelings exactly." he gave a little purr unusual for him and sat next to her looking out at the moonlit creek.

"I feel like I am a better warrior than I ever used to be. But for the life of me I can't figure out why so many of our clanmates cling to these traditions" he eventually murmured, it was very rare for him to ever speak this openly about himself to anyone really.

He felt at ends feeling both very relaxed with her and very on edge somehow at the same time.

"Guess all Wolfstar's prodding paid off... Or maybe it was that rambunctious apprentice." She snickered, "I am so glad my own was so agreeable and well-behaved. Just like his mentor." Mallowcloud was gone now, but he'd been a fine warrior. Hickorysmoke would be too one day.

"What Windclan does is of no concern to me, nor what Riverclan or Shadowclan do. Unless it's made my business. I think we'd all be better off focusing on our own clans, our own kin and friends."
