"Let all cats safe from the bramble's thorn gather for a Clan meeting!"

Flurrypaw glanced up from where he had been resting near the apprentice's den, his tail swishing in excitement. There was no telling what this was about - thought it was likely a warrior's ceremony. He prayed, he hoped it was his - but most of the other apprentices were older than him so it was impossible to say. That fact only made him more desperate for it to be his however - what a shame it would be if warriors were named between him and Minkbite, making clear the gap that might exist between their skills.

...Oh how he hoped it was his ceremony, so he could raise his head high and hopefully escape Minkbite's teasing - thought he would of course welcome it being Serpentpaw's as well even if that would sting in its own way. Pushing himself to his paws, he joined the crowd as he waited on bated breath for what Acornstar had to say.

---------------------------

Things were looking up for ThunderClan, and Acornstar was thankful for it. Silverdusk was still gone, but she had faith that the warrior would keep her word to return on time... But still, the Clan was growing - yet another cat had finished their training, impressed at the speed that Nightdancer's kits were proving themselves. She spotted Flurrypaw taking his seat, eyes glimmering in excitement and she could only smile as she swished her tail. "The start of Leaf-fall was not kind to us, but as the seasons grow colder, fate has seemed to shine on us once more in a welcome change of pace. Today, we celebrate yet another apprentice who has finished their training. Flurrypaw, please step forward."

-------------------------

Yes! Flurrypaw jumped to his paws as his name was called, his tail as straight as he could manage as he stepped forward. His paws quivered in excitement as he found himself wondering what his name would be - would he be named after a skill, like how Minkbite had earned her name? Would he be named Flurrysnow after his markings? ...Not that he actually knew what snow was only that it would be happening soon. He wasn't sure, but he was excited for what earning a warrior name would mean over whatever it would actually be.

----------------------

"Flurrypaw, under the guidance of your mother, you have proven yourself a skilled cat with a good heart. Kind to those around you, you are more than just your strength - eager to help out with patrols despite being just an apprentice and I know you will be a great boon upon this Clan as a warrior. And so I ask, Flurrypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan at the cost of your life?"

---------------------

Flurrypaw almost wanted to snort at the question - because the answer was obvious. "I do!" he proudly proclaimed, puffing out his chest. From his first training session with Nightdancer, he knew how important the code was to himself. Any cat could win if they played dirty but to be the best warrior, the kind that would never be forgotten even long after he was gone, he had to uphold the Code. Some cats would call it a shackle, but that only made being the best while following it to the law even more impressive. He was going to be the best and most loyal warrior in ThunderClan!

--------------------

Acornstar dipped her head with a smile. "Then by the powers granted to me, I give you your warrior name. You have proven yourself a steadfast cat despite your young age, eager to prove yourself and lend whatever aid you can. For this, I name you Flurryshade - as the oaks of our forest give us safety in their shadows, may you shelter the Clan in your determination to stand strong above all." With that, she jumped down from the Highrock and pressed her head against his chest with a purr. "You'll do us all proud, Flurryshade."
