The disappearance of Tigerstar had left the clan in a shocked state, it was just so sudden. There was not much more she could do, the patrols were on max to find any signs of what had happened but as time went on she knew full well the trails if there were any would fade more than they already had, the odds of finding him now were narrowing to zero. It had left her overloaded, defending both the deputy and leader position. The clan had to go onwards, Cricketpaw was ready for his warrior name, she knew in her heart Tigerstar would want her to do this. Still it felt foreign and wrong as she hopped up to star-rock, it felt like she was taking someone else's seat. Glancing at the clearing below her she began -
"Cats of the moorlands below the stars, gather for a clan meeting"

Tigerstar's disappearance was weighing on the Clan. Rapidfire's meeting call left Cricketpaw a bit apprehensive; with everything so uncertain now, he couldn't be sure what the meeting would be about. Since his Moonstone journey and his talk with Elmskip, however, Cricketpaw felt a bit uplifted. Everything would work out, he was sure of it. Eyes bright, he limped over to join the rest of WindClan below the Tallrock to see what Rapidfire had to say.

It all felt strange, she had for Thistlepaw's helped Tigerstar do the warrior ceremony, this was the first one really on her own. Perhaps it was a feeling she was getting used to, being left alone before she was ready it was what happened to her since she was young with her parents and siblings all dying, it was happening now with her mentor and leader going before she felt ready.
The doubts she held wouldn't get this done however and the clan needed her to focus up. So that was what she would do, if nothing else she could put her sometimes hardheadedness to good use even if that meant plowing through things the best she could.
"Clanmates, we gather to observe one of our own who has made much progress in his training and is ready for his warrior name. I ask our star ancestors to look at this apprentice, see that he has trained hard in the ways learning of our traditions. Cricketpaw, Do you vow to follow the warrior code? To defend our clan with your life?"

Oh, it was a warrior ceremony. His warrior ceremony. Cricketpaw immediately straightened up his posture and raised his head, adopting the most serious expression he could despite his urge to bounce around with excitement.
When Rapidfire was finished with the ceremonial words, Cricketpaw stepped forward, dipping his head as he announced clearly, "I do."
this is just a journey, drop your worries; you are gonna turn out fine;
Rapidfire smiled slightly, even in the hard times seeing the progress that an appretnice had put into the journey of becoming a warrior was still good to see.
She gave a nod and continued.
"Then by the power of the stars granted to me I give you your full warrior name. From now on you will be known as Cricketleap. Tonight, you will sit vigil below the stars as is tradition for warriors on their first night."

Rainpaw the quiet apprentice who hardly ever spoke at all broke her usual quiet demeanor to cheer for her clanmate

The newly-named Cricketleap grinned, flashing a smile as bright as the sun itself. His chest swelled with pride as the Clan chanted his new name, and he took it all in, turning to look at his Clanmates. To his surpise, Rainpaw was cheering as well. They had shared the apprentice area together, but no longer. He needed to set up his new nest with the rest of the warriors. Cricketleap gave Rapidfire a grateful look before he moved on, limping over to Rainpaw. "Thanks, Rainpaw! Too bad we don't get to hang out in the evenings anymore. Hopefully you'll get your name soon too!"
A pang of sadness clutched at his heart now, as he wished Cloudypetal could have been at his ceremony too. But now he could devote his time to making her--and WindClan--proud.

Kestrelchirp smiled. In a time like this, WindClan needed both the good news and a new warrior... since they seemed to be dropping like flies. "Good job, Cricketleap!" the tom cheered gently as he passed the tom on his way out of the group.
