SILVERHAWK
The darker the weather...
Silverhawk rarely came to this border more than was necessary. There was nothing to entreat him to it as there had been with the Highpine, and so his paws only led him here when he was accompanied by a larger border patrol. But since that Gathering, the night with the wolves… when Silverhawk could pull himself away from camp, from his brothers, he found himself wandering to the Outcropping. Something in his chest tugged him onward, led him again and again to the edge of the moors. He stood there now, unable to sleep and so venturing out under the midday sun to find himself standing at their border with WindClan.
Being there made his lip curl slightly. There was no love in his heart for WindClan, especially with the history of aggression between them and his own Clan. But… there was intrigue and a sense of concern he wouldn’t admit to that brought him there repeatedly. Hemlockfox… that blasted Hemlockfox. Was he well? How were his injuries faring? Silverhawk’s lip curled even higher and his tail snapped side to side as he thought. Maybe today would be the day he got lucky and actually encountered the medicine cat, or at least someone that could report on his condition.

⥊🩸⥋
Hemlockfox had been staunchly avoiding the ShadowClan border for some time, but the need for herbs that only grew close to the marshy lands eventually began to outweigh his aversion for the pine-scented territory. He would gladly send Weevilpaw if she was his official apprentice, but she wasn't and, even if she was, he'd not feel comfortable sending her alone anyway. So, it was with a frosty demeanor that he padded along the border now, his nose twitching and eyes scanning the undergrowth for any traces of the familiar plants he was looking for. However, he'd had no luck so far.
The still healing injuries from the wolves pulled tight with each step he took, but Hemlockfox bore the discomfort with little more than the occasional grimace. A familiarly obnoxious scent strayed across the border, then, as he padded along, and Hemlockfox could feel his expression souring. Most ShadowClanners smelled identical to him, but he'd med Silverhawk enough times to distinguish his scent from the other ShadowClan warriors. And, sure enough, there he was at the border, waiting for...something.
The sight of him brought flashes of blood and chaos to Hemlockfox's mind and he shook his head to clear the memories of that night at Fourtrees when the wolves had attacked. Many of his clanmates were still recovering, himself included. It had not been very pleasant. Silverhawk looked well enough, though, and as the medicine cat approached, he began to wonder just why he was even here. A part of him, honestly, hoped his business wasn't important. They still needed to discuss some things.
They'd not had the time to talk as much as he'd wanted to at that gathering and, unfortunately, he'd been whisked back to the camp as soon as the final wolf fell to tend to both his, and other cats' injuries. Paws steady on the peaty soil, Hemlockfox rounded a clump of bushes and met Silverhawk's gaze. "You look like you're waiting for someone." He meowed evenly, giving the ShadowClanner a chance to explain himself before he jumped to any conclusions. Like he had before.
