"Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the tallbranch for a clan meeting!" Wolfstar called as she stood atop the tallbranch. This was a ceremony she was excited for, her apprentice had worked hard and there was little that Wolfstar felt she could teach her. With her brother's ceremony the evening prior, it was time.
Wasppaw was greayful that Wolfstar completed her request to have Foxsnap's ceremony before hers. When another meeting was called, she knew it was time. Licking down any ruffled fur, Wasppaw quickly made it to the clearing and sat near the front, grinning up at Wolfstar.
"Wasppaw, step forward." Wolfstar called when the clan had gathered below and her apprentice was among the crowd.
"Skyclan, Wasppaw has trained hard to understand the warrior code and our way of life. I believe she is ready to earn her name. Wasppaw, do you promise to provide for and to defend Skyclan, even at the cost of your life?"
Wolfstar nodded at her apprentice's confirmation. "Then I grant you your warrior name. Wasppaw, from now on you shall be known as Waspswarm. We honor your courage and ferocity." Wolfstar leapt from the tallbranch, padding up to the newly-named warrior.
"I'm proud of you, Waspswarm. You've worked hard, and your request was a bold one that not many cats would have made under the same circumstances. May your vigil tonight be a peaceful one." She stepped away, allowing the rest of the clan to congratulate the newly-named warrior.
