IC: Deadfrost tripped on a root, and the rabbit flew forward, landing in a big pile of snow. "Mouse-dung!" he cursed. He stood up, and groaned at a sudden sharp pain in his paw. Great StarClan, how much more will I suffer? He shook it, and flinched. It was most likely sprained. He limped over to the rabbit, and dragged it underneath a huge root of am oak tree. He lied down, chin resting on his paws. ...Why do I keep losing family?

Leopardheart padded out of a clump of ferns. "What going on?"

Deadfrost's ear twitched, and he limped out of the ferns behind her, placing the rabbit at his paws. "She killed Swiftshadow. Good thing he has nine lives." His voice was etched with fury, but it was slightly subsided. What he really felt, was heartbreak. Too much.

Leopardheart growled angrily, but didn't say anything.

Sunset whirled around in surprise.

She had planned to flee the scene before Leopardheart arrived. She quickly sheathed her claws, hoping Leopardheart hadn't seen them.
"Er... well, about that..."

Leopardheart growled. "Explain."

Deadfrost looked down at the grass. "Both of us?" he asked the spotted she-cat quietly.

"Yes," Leopardheart growled.

The pale gray tom sighed. "I was hunting, and I saw her--" He trust his tail at Sunset. "--killing Swiftshadow. And I get yelled at for saying it's against the warrior code."

Leopardheart frowned. "And what was Swiftshadow doing?"

"Crossing the territory!"
Sunset said quickly.

"Chasing a rabbit. I don't see why he deserved to die. A warning scratch would have been better," he countered quietly. "That's the warrior code, isn't it? Don't kill to win battles? Besides, he gave me the rabbit as an apology."

"You know as well as I do that this was not the first time!"
She snapped.
