It had been some time since Wolfstar had taken an apprentice to the moonstone, she reflected, but she was pleased to see that Ospreypaw was coming along in her training. Padding toward the apprentice's den with the bundle of herbs, she ducked her head into the entrance, blue eyes finding the apprentice she was to take quickly.
"Ospreypaw, today's your moonstone journey." When the apprentice stirred, Wolfstar ducked out of the den to wait. "Here, eat these. I'm sorry in advance, they taste terrible." When Ospreypaw had eaten the herbs, Wolfstar beckoned her to follow, leading the apprentice out of camp.

They had made good time, and Wolfstar was relieved to see the entrance to mothermouth beneath the darkening sky. "Stick close, the tunnels are dark and a bit cramped." Probably less cramped for Ospreypaw than they were for Wolfstar, but it was a fair warning. "When we get to the moonstone, touch your nose to it and lay down. Starclan will visit you in your dreams. I'll be there when you wake." She added, leading the apprentice through the narrow passage that led toward the moonstone.
