Losing any family for took a heavy toll on anyone but a kit, your only son was somehow different for Sprucebark. Elmstorm was supposed to be the one he looked out for. As an apprentice Elmpaw had nearly fallen to the gorge and now that he was a new warrior the lad had gone off and gotten himself lad which gave Sprucebark no end of fits.
The usually so orderly and well put together tom was beginning to lose it. He had searched all over for him and came up empty pawed each time. He had forgone all his usual hunting, scouting and regular patrols all in the sake of looking for Elmstorm. It was never like him to skip things like that but his obsession with trying to find the missing clanmate had taken full attention of his.
He had been cycling through clanmates to ask if they would aid in his attempt to find their missing boy and bring him home once more. Deep down he knew that with every passing day the chances of Elmstorm ever being found grew slimer, which is why with every day he tried harder and stayed out longer in search for him.
Glancing around he saw Swandive and went towards her. For once the tom skipped all formalities and cut directly to the point which was also very unlike his usual very polite manored way of approaching things of first asking how his clanmate was.
"I need your help, please I have a new idea of where Elmstorm might be"

Sprucebark greeted her with a direct question, and if it weren't for the subject of the question, Swandive might have laughed. It was uncharacteristic of the older warrior to start with those immediately, though she had certainly accosted many of her clanmates in that manner herself.
A clanmate missing, though, was no laughing matter. Swandive was quick to nod in acceptance of the request. "Where do you think he might have gone?" So many cats seemed to have just gone missing as of late... Her own apprentice among them. None had been found, but if there was even a slim chance, Swandive would help search.

Sprucebark was appreciative of the younger warriors eagerness and quick response in willingness to help. After his less than fortunate meltdown of his own when their clanmate was in trouble back at the lake and he had frozen up unable to move and left the rescue to her and other clanmates he always felt a tinge of guilt around Swandive, but most of that luckily had cleared away and seemingly she either had forgiven him or at least known it was not a moment he had been proud of.
Regardless, the importance was seemingly that she was by his side ready to try and find his missing son.
"I've looked so many places, I was hoping a second tracker could help, I want to try and find some trail, any clue at all really before any rain comes along and washes away the scent trails for good - perhaps we can check the riverside or places by the pools first those might have the highest chance of the scent disappearing first so we should cover those first?"
He could suggest things sure, but he was exhausted from the nerves of losing his only son and although a question in nature his meowing also had a sense of pleading that his clanmate might have another ideas

"Yeah, checking around the water first is probably a good idea... Maybe check by that foxing twoleg farm, too." Her nose wrinkled at merely mentioning the place where Morningpaw had died because of that filthy rogue. "Could've gotten into it with a trespasser... And it's always good to keep an eye on that area anyways." Dangerous, filthy, cursed area that it was.
