Oleanderkit kneaded the ground, antsy and scanning the warriors resting in the mid-day sun. He was falling behind his peers, and frankly, he was done waiting. If he wasn't going to get his apprentice name, then he was going to just train in camp, he just needed someone who knew what they were doing to train with. He didn't know too many cats yet, but he ruled out asking any apprentices for help. He wanted someone with experience, an impromptu one-day mentor, not someone still learning. Cindersky seemed nice enough from what little he knew of her though. She didn't seem like the type to turn him down and that's really all he needed.
The lanky, small tom trotted over, gently prodding the she-cat with a paw. "Do you have time?" He wasn't expecting or allowing the answer to be no, but he asked anyway for the appearance of politeness. "I was wondering if you could teach me some battle moves? Just the basic ones; I don't have anyone to practice with."
