Hemlockfox trudged into the camp, paws aching, and ducked briefly into his den to check on Nectarflower. He'd lost Sootstorm already - he wasn't going to lose another patient. Once he was satisfied that she was doing alright, he spun around and scanned the clearing, blue eyes intense. The clan was not doing well. He'd been so wrapped up in his head over Sootstorm's death and Nectarflower's injuries that he didn't notice when the first of the bodies was brought back to the camp. One day after another until he'd run out of lavender and his claws ached from digging.
Luckily, the death had come to an end, so he was going to make the most of the calm and get another Moonstone journey over with. At least, while it lasted. Hopefully, everyone would be okay while he was gone. He wasn't in the mood to deal with yet another injury or dig a hole for another cat. Not that...he ever was, of course. Groaning, Hemlockfox paused for a moment, blue eyes tired, and slowly made his way towards Spiderpaw. "Come along. It's time you go to the Moonstone." With a flick of his tail, the brown and white tom gestured for Spiderpaw to follow him and led the way out of the quiet camp, his paws heavy.
--(Timeskip)--
The journey was simultaneously calm and a huge pain. They'd been silent for the majority of the walk which left plenty of time for him to think about the past quarter moon. Thankfully, though, he was almost halfway finished. As he squeezed through the narrow tunnel, Hemlockfox glanced over his shoulder, expression flat. "Very glittery, I know." He muttered as he led the way into the cavern. "Just lay down and touch your nose to the stone. I would like to get back to the clan as fast as possible." He added, pelt itching nervously. anything could happen while he was gone.

Spiderpaw had been oddly quiet lately. Since he was born it was like he didn't know how to shut his voice off, always rambling about something or excitedly rattling off questions. Then cats started to die and his mentor disappeared. His smile never wavered, but it didn't quite reach his eyes anymore, hints of deep sadness and uncertainty flashing in his gaze rather than childish enthusiasm. He was trying to be optimistic though; he needed to be. His mentor would return, the clan would recover, no more would die, everything was going to be fine...
He followed Hemlockfox out of camp with nothing but a small nod of acknowledgment when he was beckoned.
He barely spoke a word, stuck in his own head. He was excited about meeting Starclan before all of this, but now he was just tired. Maybe Starclan would have some good advice on how to help cats? Or maybe tell him he was doing good and everything would be alright? The apprentice barely registered his paws moving and time passing before his pads stepped onto stone. Mothermouth.
Spiderpaw kept close to the medicine cat as they pressed into the caverns, his whiskers twitching to try and make sense of the dark space. Then a bright light stung his eyes, the young tom squinting before awe forced them back open again. The shimmering stone was far more beautiful than words could describe, like a piece of the moon itself had chipped off and graced them with their presence. A multitude of questions laid on the tip of his tongue. How did it get here? How did the first medicine cats find it? How could they speak to Starclan through it? Was it really a piece of the moon?
Hemlockfox's words shot his inquiries down before they could even stop, urgency in his voice. "Right," he mumbled. "I'll be quick." He pressed his nose to the stone before curling up beside the glittering stone, letting sleep take him.
When he next opened his eyes, he found himself in a starry landscape, the tom standing to his paws. "Um, hello?"

Daisybreeze hadnt ever had a moonstone visitor before - perhaps she hadnt gotten one yet because she had to learn first how to live better in starclan. Her time on earth had been one full of regretful decisions - she had started off well and well intended but after burning so many bridges with her friends she slowly had fallen into isolation and regretfullness of her actions. The rest of her life she had tried to seek redemtion never to find it.
In the stars she had spend a long time now with her friends finally getting to have what she had longed for so long - a new start and fresh beginnings.
Flutterpetal had forgivven her and they finally got to spend time together as it should have been.
She slowly appeared her stary pelt sparkling under the starry dreamlike lands that stretched before them both.
"well hello Spiderpaw" she meowed in greeting - "im daisybreeze your starclan cat - my job is to try and help guide you. she wondered herself even how exactly she would do that but she would try
"firstly - do you have any questions? she asked tilting her head straight to the point as was very typical of her

Spiderpaw's eyes instantly lit up at the appearance of a Starclan cat, their pelt just as mystical as the land they stood on. "Oh wow!" he chirped, a bright purr rising from his throat. "Hi there!"
When prompted for any questions, Spiderpaw paused with a thoughtful hum before blurting out a response. "How big is Starclan? Does it go on forever? How long can you run before you reach the end, if there is one? Wait- are there even territories in Starclan?" He tilted his head, eyes bright with excitement. The idea that he should ask more serious questions didn't even cross his mind. Who knows when he'll get this type of information again? Well, when he died he supposed, but that wasn't going to happen for a long time.
