Grief is the price we pay for love (c)

Sitting beside the fresh-kill pile, Molehill was anything but hungry. First was the loss of his dear sister and now was the loss of his good friend and deputy. Why did StarClan feel the need to take cats away, not only from him, but his clanmates too? Sootstorm had so much life left, so why now of all times? He wasn't usually one to hold any sort of self-pity, but this all wasn't fair. Of course, Molehill knew he wasn't the only cat grieving such losses and he pondered how Tigerstar was fairing, having lost his medicine cat as well as his right-paw. For a moment, Molehill thought about how Tigerstar still had a clan to lead, but at the same time he knew that even leaders grieved, and the red-pelted tom deserved just as much time to process it all as any cat did.
