Pineblossom

Hunting was always one of Pineblossom’s favorite duties. It was more active than simply keeping track of the borders and she always enjoyed trying to flex her hunting abilities. Nothing would ever meet the same rush as her first hunt as an apprentice when she’d managed to nab a rabbit that had wandered into the territory from WindClan. It was still a fun activity, though, even as she grew older and less agile.

She was accompanied by Larkshine, one of the younger warriors. It was odd for her to see such young blood now. The clan she lived in today looked so different from the one she grew up in—but it was still home. These were still her clanmates, even if she did not have the moons of built relationships between them.

“Have you been assigned an apprentice yet?” Pineblossom asked Larkshine between their catches. The ceremonies of kits passing to apprentices always blended together in Pineblossom’s mind, making it hard to keep track of who had whom.
