Should've When You Could've [Plumleaf]

The endless night was filled with stars as Beechfang wandered through the territory that so closely resembled the Skyclan territory she had known in life. This particular area seemed to be a reflection of the great ridge, with colorful flowers dotting the rocky landscape. There was another cat she hoped to see now that she'd been given the chance to, and while she hadn't quite figured out the nuance in navigating this starry plane, she knew - or maybe just clung too hard to hope to call the delusion anything else - that Plumleaf would be near. She simply had to be.

Always the sickly one, she had died not too long after Beechfang had rejoined Skyclan. Soon enough to miss all the carnage and strife, and far sooner than she ever should have. The regret that she hadn't spend enough time with her kits was one Beechfang tried to make up for, though it still stung. Now she had an eternity... And part of her wondered if that was too late. It wouldn't keep her from trying, of course, but the thought still floated in the back of her mind, like so many others.

"Plumleaf?" Had she imagined the movement that caught her peripheral vision? She turned toward it, hoping to see a familiar gray and white pelt.
