Where have you gone? (c)

Sandwiched between his mother and father, Molehill's head hung low. Having finally got over the sickness that had cursed him for far too long, things seemed to be on the up... except for the fact that his dear sister Daisyfang was missing, which has been tearing him apart. He'd looked and looked for her, but his searching as been to no avail and he couldn't bear to think of where she might be or if she was hurt. Not to mention his eyesight growing worse as the days went on hadn't helped his efforts either.

"She's not coming back, is she?" The plump brown tom mewed softly, ever so slightly raising his gaze up towards his mother. What did she think of all this? Surely she was just as sad as he was, but how could she possibly move on?

While Fuzzface wasn't one to show much on what he was feeling, it did pain him to have lost their beloved Daisyfang. Only StarClan knew where she was and he knew fretting over her for too long couldn't be good for the soul.

"Daisyfang is strong, I bet she's doing fine where ever she is," Fuzzface said in a 'mater-of-fact' sort of way before Lavendercloud could answer. Once done, he lifted a paw and began to groom himself from where he was laying down next to his worry-wart of a son.

Lavendercloud had not been doing well at all. Ever since her disappearance the queen had stressed to no end.

She stared blankly at the den wall ahead of the three as they sat on their makeshift cat version of a couch and blinked slightly when molehill asked the question.

She felt a sinking feeling that her son was right, no one had heard from Daisyfang in a long long time and there was nothing she could do about it. She closed her eyes remembering all the times she had with her daughter

The dandelion seeds she would blow away with her.
“We’re not broken, just growing, right?” Daisyfang had told her


She was not one to cry much but she felt her eyes stinging at the memory she blinked away anything before they could form into actual tears.

Berrykit was gone, now too Daisyfang was likely never to be seen again either.

Molehill was her last kit. She inched slightly closer to him and eventually nodded.

"No, probably not" she eventually meowed, her son was a full warrior there was no point in babying him or hiding the truth from him.

"So... Don't die mole, someone has to bury Fuzz and I when we get old. And... you are a pretty good digger" she meowed while poking her son teasingly with her paw.

Her fiery spirit of humor had not died out at least.

'D-don't you say that!" Molehill exclaimed with a gasp before snapping his head towards his mother. "You and dad have plenty of time, I don't even want to think about that yet," the tom mewed seriously before turning his head away from her with a pouting look on his maw. "I couldn't bear to lose anyone else right now," he mewed softly.

"Oh you'd be finneeee," Fuzzface mewed with a roll of his eyes. "You'll find a mate, settle down, have some kits, and life will go on. Don't be a sissy about it," the grey tom said before moving onto the next paw and continuing to clean himself.
