Threads of Trust [C]

"Fawnshine?" Acornstem's voice rang down the small tunnel that led into the medicine cat den as she made her way in, glancing around for any sign of the older medicine cat. It was obvious that the deputy was exhausted, her tail almost dragging on the ground behind her and her eyes weren't as bright as they normally were. It wasn't hard to guess what had been bothering her, with the Clan in a rush to prepare to march on SkyClan. She...She hadn't gotten a say in the battle happening or even knew who the leader was planning to take with her so she had turned her focus on the smaller matters.

"I wanted to check on how our herb supplies are doing," she meowed as she came to a stop, nervously glancing at the cracks in the stone where she could see piles of herbs. They were running out of time to prepare and the last thing she wanted was for them to not have enough for whatever injuries would be incurred by the war. If she had to, she would assign cats to help them get whatever was needed but she knew she would rather this not be something she had to worry about in the first place - she didn't want to risk her Clanmates so soon after arriving home...
