Who Are You? [c] [solo]

Rapidpaw was out on patrol with her clanmates. But they were moving so slow it felt like. Her high level energy and quick paws soon found her far ahead of them as she flicked her tail for them to hurry up some. She was about to jokingly call out to them to catch up but noticed a rabbit nearby. She stayed quiet and dropped low heading down the hill and out of sight from her patrol as she darted after it!

Rapidpaw sprung at it but missed as it darted away. She gave a little hiss and the chase was on! True to her name she was gaining and she almost had her front paws on it.

She was about to catch it, her mouth watered as she could almost taste it now. Out of the corner of her eye, a white blur was coming up on her flank and right afterwards the rabbit was tumbled away as bits of dirt and grass were torn up and scattered as the white blur and rabbit went tumbling over one another.

Rapidpaw let out a squeal of surprise skidding to a stop and heart racing looked wide eyed to see that another cat had ambushed the rabbit. The prey now hung limp from the jaws of a white furred cat whose blue eyes seemed to be staring and piercing right into her soul. She slowly backed away from the larger cat. Her heart was racing both from the sprint-run and from the unknown anticipation of meeting another cat. This was the first non-windclan cat she had ever seen. Her eyes widened and she looked at her surroundings. Slowly allowing a sigh of relief she realized she was still in windclan territory but another pawstep or moreso and she would have been in shadowclan lands she had not even realized how close to the border she had been.

All the same she backed up more lowering her curled ears against her head as she nervously backed up. The white warrior dropped the prey at her paws and finally broke the silence that seemed to hang in the air around them.


"Cutting it close windclan?" her ice blue eyes seemed to narrow at Rapidpaw for a moment but then softened somewhat.

"you are new to this I understand but next time be mindful of borders. This could have ended much poorer if you had crossed and if you ran into someone else" she meowed sternly.


Rapidpaw felt like she would like to vanish into thin air, if that was a superpower she would give her tail to have that ability right now. She felt her tail all poofed out in nervousness as she stood there nearly frozen. She did manage to give a little nod.


Swallowing hard she nodded "I d-didn't realize where I was.


"A warrior must know where they are. How will you become one if you do not? paw?

Rapidpaw stared at her paws. How would she ever? Try as she might, she could never be like Crakeburn, would she ever be able to even make warrior like her sister had?

The white warriors eyes widened as she let out a low hiss.

Rapidpaw poofed out all the way and panicked... The shadowclanner was about to attack??? "no no please no!" she squealed holding up a front paw worriedly.

"Not at you" the warrior growled her eyes now locked on something beyond.  Rapidpaw turned slowly and her fear spiked even further as not far at all from them was a fox.  It had spotted them and was staring at them from the hilltop looking right at Rapidpaw.

"Its on windclan side. This is your fight young one... you canfight right?"

Rapidpaw felt her heart sink low as she prayed silently the fox to turn and leave.  As it stepped closer to them she backed up out of instinct until her paws were teetering on the border.

The fox quickened its pace starting a slow jog at them now.

The white warrior let out a quiet sigh and suddenly Rapidpaw felt gentle teeth grip her scruff and scoot her to the side and behind the warrior.

The fox let out a growl and was staring at the apprentice wanting an easy meal.

"Alright... just stay close and get hits in where you can" The warrior leapt forwards meeting the fox head on and crashed into it.

Rapidpaw gave a short nod and followed right behind.


Swiftheart uses Jumping Strike for 13 dmg

Rapidpaw uses snap for 6 dmg


The fox yelped in pain as it was bit and hit.  It curled its lips into a snarl and bit at the smaller cat wanting to separate the two quickly.

fox uses thrash on rapidpaw for 10 dmg

Rapidpaw winced in pain as her scruff was caught by the fox and she got shook all around.  She screamed in pain and tried to wiggle free to little good.  The fox tossed her to the ground attempting to stun her, stunned dinner was good dinner after all

Rapidpaw fell to the ground where the fox had tossed her and looked up at the sky in a complete daze. She blinked her hearing all muffled as she tried several times to get to her paws tripping over herself each time

Rapidpaw cannot attack this turn stunned 1 more turn


The fox growled lunging at the apprentice to try and finish her off for good

However, the fox got its tail clamped down on by powerful jaws yanking backwards, the force of swiftheart pulling backwards and the fox leaping the opposite direction towards rapidpaw had caused immense pain for the fox and it was immediatly put into a stun

swiftheart uses tail yank for 10 dmg
fox and rapidpaw are both stunned and could not attack this turn

The fox was unable to react before swiftheart snapped at it again and it whimpered falling backwards. Swiftheart did not let up clawing at it as it then began to run away in a full retreat.


Swiftheart glared at it till it was fully gone.

She went back over to the windclan apprentice and looked her over, she looked hurt but nothing that was too serious. She gave her a hasty lick over the head and helped her back to her paws.

"You really should not be out alone as an apprentice" she meowed quietly



Rapidpaw shook what felt like a lot of stars from her vision as she blinked looking at the shadowclan cat who had just saved her pelt.

She was not so sure she should mention she had just been seperated from her patrol... she didnt want to let dad or her mentor down by giving away that windclan patrols could split up so she just gave a little nod in agreement.

"thanks for saving me...

"Swiftheart" she introrduced herself nodding, "and no problem, foxe are problems for all clans, it is best to work together with them" she purred gently. "You should get to a med cat... are you going to be okay going back on your own"


"Rapidpaw she intorcuded back with a purr and sat up more feeling better now somewhat. She nodded again that she could though... she was tempted to ask for the warrior to go with her... that fox was still out there somewhere.

"Ill see ya around then, maybe we can see at the gathering?"

Rapidpaw gave a purr and nod liking this idea, meeting new cats was pretty exciting... and she liked the idea of having at least one clan in shadowclan, that could prove valuable if she was careful.
