| NOTE: Bianca’s perspective here takes place just beyond the SkyClan border, safely out of invasion range. I wasn’t sure where to post it, so staff are welcome to move it if needed. Additionally, Stoatclaw’s appearance here has been approved by Romantica.
On nights like this, Bianca found herself thinking of Carlos, and the season they’d spent together. It had been an oddly cold winter, but they had each other and their own little world was warm. Each star in the sky seemed to twinkle brighter when she was with him, and the snow draped the whole world in a peaceful blanket.
And then her memories turned dark. There’d been someone else the whole time. She was never his true love. And once his mate found out, he wanted nothing to do with her. Just like everyone else in my life, she mused. Now, from her perch in a tree, she could see another young couple. The tom’s tabby patterns reminded her of Carlos, and the she-cat was so much like Bianca in her youth. Come to think of it, this wasn’t all that far from the house where she used to live. She and Carlos would’ve walked together not far from here.
Young love. Okay, the cats below her weren’t as young as she had been, but they were as young as… yeah, best not to think about that right now.
She just hoped their destiny wasn’t as painful as hers. Little did she know how closely woven their paths had always been.
The she-cat, unbeknownst to Bianca, had had a love like Carlos once. Not the tom she walked with now, who merely looked like him, but someone who led her on. A rustle in the trees beyond the border caught Lighttail’s attention, but by the time she looked up whatever the disturbance was had gone. |
