So ... you overthink too?

Rapidkit spent most of her time either snuggled up next to Fennelbreeze or out playing with her siblings and getting to know them as much as she could. She was beginning to understand things more and more now and understood what family meant... She loved them all so much and hoped they felt the same way.

She gave a curious peeka-boo over to Stoatkit who looked to be deep in thought currently. She curiously went over and sat right by his side looking close at him. She put her nose right up next to him not really old enough yet to understand the concept of personal space per - say.

"Whatcha thinkin' about??" she queried him wondering what there possibly was to be so deep in thought over.

Fidgetkit's tail flickered as he drummed his paws on the ground. He smiled, a big grin on his face. Some noises were nice.

The rhythm, the perfect crisp crunch of snow, the muffled quality the air took when the snow picked up again...

Another voice jarred him back.

"Howdy, Rapidkit," the tomkit replied, a smile on his face, eyes glowing. "D'ya ever wonder why we make noise when we move? And why are some more fun than others?"

Rapidkit blinked several times at this rather unique question.  She stared at him pondering that for a while.

"uhh... what?" she squealed innocently and giggled a little.

"umm no I never thought of that before Stoatkit" she purred nuzzling a little at him playfully and affectionately.  She sat up seconds later however....


Have you ever said something and then immediately afterwards wondered if you just called someone the wrong name? And you try and recall what you just said but your mind goes blank? yeah...


Rapidkit sat there a second in silence trying to remember if she really just called her own brother by their other brothers name. She moved a bit side to side uncomfortable ... she hadnt meant to... his question was just soooo ... weird... it made her apparently space everything else.

She really hoped this awkward silence would be interrupted by something... anything really even another odd question from Fidgetkit would be welcome.

She did her best to give him a little smile of apologetic and embarrassed mix of emotions as she nudged him a little more.

He glanced at himself. No, he wasn't the ruddy russet Stoatkit.

"It's okay, Rapidkit. Names are optional."

The lanky tomkit then grinned again, crunching snow under his feet. He flexed his paws in the snow, letting the cold touch the quicks of his claws.

"Did StarClan make hot and cold?"

The tom pondered that, mixing up snow with his paws.

Rapidkit laid her ears back a bit embarrassed but he soon seemed to take it well which let her relax as she settled in by his side as he played with snow.

His next question was just as outlandish as the first and she blinked thinking about that again.

"umm... how would they do that?" she meowed quietly so confused on how anyone or anything could make hot and cold.

Being still just a kit she just knew that mum was warm and soft as were her siblings all of whom she loved dearly (even if she sometimes confused her brothers). And that outside the nursery was cold.

She wasn't so sure that a greater power beyond that made it like that... just that it was that way. "You think about a lot of things" she commented shrugging unsure how to really answer that.

All this thinking was a lot to take in and she pawsied a bit more at her brother giggling a bit.

"I know what is warm though!" she purred flicking her tail back and forth and seconds later tackled him gently around "cuddles!!!" she chirped

He sat and wondered. How would they do that?

His train of thought was interrupted by his sister bowling into him. Fidgetkit rolled to the side, purring.

"Cuddles are the best."

He put his head on top of hers, purring away.

Rapidkit gave a little purr and glanced up at him covering her up like a blanket of sorts.

"pretty sure starclan made it so this is the correct thing and thats why it feels correct... you know?"


She purred softly and looked out at the snow.  His many questions swirled around in her head and she grinned a little to herself, all her siblings were so different... and yet she felt so connected to each and every one of them.  They were gonna be warriors together in no time!!

She stayed curled and cuddled up right by his side happy for his warmth, this was how things were to be yes.

It only maybe just now dawned on her... perhaps he was right, names were not as important ... just titles to call one another, the real importance lay in what they felt for one another.

(lols okay little cheesy/sappy even for me but Rapid is just so cute I cant help itssss)
