“Sootstorm!” An enthusiastic, loud voice called over the hubbub of sunhigh camp as Goldengale came skidding through the snow, sending white flying in her wake. “You free for a hunt?”

Galepaw had been recruited by his sister’s mentor to go on a sizable patrol, and Goldengale had seized the opportunity to pounce on their deputy (metaphorically, of course) and drag him off on a patrol. She needed- she needed a bit of advice, maybe. Not that she didn’t have this whole mentor thing figured out (she did, of course, duh) but… it wouldn’t hurt. Right? Nah. This was fine.
